Beer Club Thread

Different countries, different names, but the same “stuff”

Beside that low alc Weißbier I drink sometimes a “real one”,
so I don’t forget the taste!

Not REAL sours. I had a friend say kettle sours should be called “tarts”

What kind of “strange brews” you are in there over the pond!!!

What about this one!

We played that in 1967.
CREAM!
Ginger Baker (RIP), Jack Bruce (RIP) and Eric Clapton.
Fantastic!

The video is funny.
Really psychedelic!
After a few of your “milkshake ipa” you may like it more and more!..heheh!

The purist will say it not beer, and I’m not here to argue.
But thought I’d try this as I’m out with the boy today and wanted to keep it low alcohol.
0.5% and actually tastes great. I would out it on par with Adnams Ghostship 0.5.

Now I got it Paul!
Was asking about at another thread!

But 0.5% Hmm???
Is there really a taste of beer?
The lows here got 2,8%.
That’s OK.

But all those “zeros” taste like…
There is a special, weird “taste” which is really awful. (for me!)

One day we create a meeting!
We can compare all we have been talking about!

@Chiquinho as Pale Ales go its quite nice. Quite refreshing on a hot day like today.

I never will get my hands here on such one.
There are some craft beers now showing up at the market.
But there is no chance to get in concurrence with the big breweries.
Too expensive.

You have seen the offers from “Orterer” here.
A big beverage shop chain.
They and the big Munich breweries rule the market in the south here.

Hey guys, been a while since I checked in here.
Hope you’re all well and finding some nice beer.
Tonight it’s a pale Hobgoblin Gold.
Very drinkable and refreshing.

Paul,
seems meanwhile UK got more different, funny beers than we here in DE.
Hope I will not run short of my Weißbier till the end of August.
No special offers at the moment.
They got Oktoberfestbier, but this is not my taste.

A roaring Prost from München with a Franziskaner Dunkles Weißbier.

We certainly like to give our beers odd names and crazy labels.
I hope you don’t run out of beer. Let us know if you do and I’ll send a care package from the U.K.:uk::rofl:

No I can change to Kloster Scheyern Weißbier from the super market!

But thank you for the offer.

So the last major project of buying and moving my home is done

So begins the next of doing same for a family member.

The research is gruelling. Involves biking around from pub to pub and chatting to the locals to find who’s interested before houses on market.

A tough task.

:biking_man: :beer: :biking_man: :beer: :biking_man::beer:

I am sure you like that!
And certainly the family member will pay you a real huge barrel if the search is successful.

But be careful too much searching could end in too many pints!

Prost!

PS: Of course this works in UK at the countryside.
Would never be successful here in München.
A great idea, we have been talking about.

I bet those pub crawls, I mean research interviews are exhausting @professor but very lubricating. And I don’t mean the bike! :sunglasses:

So tonight it’s a very popular Doom Bar.
Brewed very close to our favorite holiday destination. And also where I first tried it, its been a favourite of mine since.
Cheers, salud, skal, kanpai of course prost!

I am sure @professor likes such honorable tasks.
Combines scientifically testing of beer and business researching for real estates.
What a great idea!
"Commercial model"

And we should’nt forget he could create a regional “pub finder app”
With very deep insights of the pub.
e.g. Is the lovely daughter of the innkeeper married or not?:rofl:

“lubricating” is funny.
Same expression in German.
You have to lubricate the body otherwise it will run hot.
And you have to “lubricate” politicians also, otherwise no “contracts” :joy:

Essential in a pub guide Franz👍🏻
But shhhh, don’t tell Debs

May be there is a chance to get a job in @professor 's new founded company.
How should we call it?

I’m ready for a small one man “branch office” here in München.
No salary needed, only the beer has to be payed.
But I can not guarantee at all, if there is any success in finding real estates.

I will be glad to find my way home after a “hard working” day!

when crawling old comments, I found a price list from a pub you had a pint.

I am wondering how beer prices are in London’s pubs!

By the way dear Mr. Geek  you won a speaker at soundcore’s forum.
Same I did.
“Brothers in (arms) soundcore minis” now :grinning:

Yes I kind of gave up Soundcore forum as I basically can’t win anything without putting in way more effort than my interest. Who’s interested in music that much? I don’t need the speaker so I’ll either gift it or the Mini 2 I won before I don’t really use either. I used the Icon Mini today while in the shower.

Been busy with house moving tasks, fixing things.

What’s in my bag today at the pub?

The beer is

The Nano speaker (because it’s small), the LA2P as got free and are small, the Nano charger (because small), the 10000 PD, and an Anker cable and a B-C converter because my buds round neck are Slim Micro B.
