I was reading about Ernest Shackleton.
He was never such famous as Scott.
But he was a great explorer he should be much more recognized.

By the way :

Pretty sure my final home will continue to be in California! Good thing there’s lots of breweries here

Really? Even though there is a growing probability of a large tectonic event? That was one reason why I left. While the probability is small in any given year, over decades it becomes high probability.

Similar issue in PNW, but that impacts only really the coast.

This is near next home.

Yeah, I think I grew addicted to the weather in California. The coastal breeze is nice. I’m sure I’ll be somewhat devastated by an earthquake at some point, hopefully it’s manageable though… The wildfires in recent years has been difficult to deal with too.

Summer is here, so I prefer a low alc light beer
(2,9% Franziskaner)
(What should old Franz drink instead of :joy:)
The last time I was catching that fantastic offer 20 1/2L for 9.99 Euros
I didn’t check all the beers I bought so there were 3 alc-free mixed in
one of the boxes.
I have been trying that in the past , was horrible.
Tried it now, horrible again.
You all know an old boozer like me likes his beer not too cold.
But if you drink that non-alc at a moderate temperature its like , (censored)

The light ones are really OK and I like these more than “Radler or Russ”
(the mixtures of lemonade and beer are called here).
Too sweet a lot of sugar which I really don’t like.
And of course even more calories than a normal beer caused by that sugar.
Prosit from München to all my comrades here!
Franz

PROST @chiquinho

I have been drinking some low alc “radler” (here we call it “shandy”) beer lately (lemonade, beer, and sometimes even a little tea) . PErfect for the summer and adventures outside!
