Beer Club Thread

Glad to see you fellows getting vaxed and “watered”

I’ve been fully vaxed (moderna) for almost a month now. In Montana most people are skeptical of the vaccines so it was easier for me to get one early on. Now even my 12 yo son has his first shot. We still have to wait for the younger daughter but now us officials are saying it will be ready by year end.

They had a fascinating setup for the kids’ vaccine. A huge fairground building where folks actually drove into the building, turn off their cars, and get shots. they could accommodate about 12 cars at a time. Very impressive.

But we keep the beer club thread and will not establish a “vacc thread”

So I can sit in my private “Biergarten” here.
A lot of flowers.
More and more little cherries, plumbs and apples are showing up on our tiny trees.

I got my favorite beer FRANZiskaner special offered
20 X 1/2 liter 11.99 Euros

In England’s current version of lockdown, it’s indoors allowed now so less of the cold sitting, but must sit down and table service only, so the pubs with the best apps are winning for speed, no waiting for a waiter then waiting for drinks, just order through app then wait for drinks. As average wait is about 10 minutes then when first glass gets nearer empty then click for another.

Now I know, you use an app where you find the next open pub. :joy:
I would call that
“beer hiking”

Heres a couple of unusual beers Charlie chose for me.
The brewer is Brewshed, a brewery reasonable local to me.

Both tasted great, as long beer tends to!
What have you guys been drinking recently?

Very hot here in München.
So I changed to “Weißbier leicht” its about 2.8%
Alcohol free doesnt taste at all.
I like my beer not so cold as you may like.
If you drink that alc free stuff it tastes like … (censored)

Prost Paul, alter Freund! :joy:

I’m glad to see people getting vaccinated here! Got my Pfizer vaccine back in December and very happy to have gotten it.

To keep things relevant (somewhat, sorry it’s not beer), here’s a photo of my cocktail with dinner tonight. A Mezcal cocktail with strawberry, yuzu, and lychee black tea. A little light handed on the mezcal but otherwise a refreshing drink!

Haha first I was thinking you put some ice cubes in your beer.
But now all is fine!
Your drink looks great and I am sure it tasted perfectly.
I am not such an expert in mixtures.

BUT :
I remember some fellows gave ice cubes to their beer in Brasil.
Crazy.
Normally the beer was really ice cold.
So I ordered there always on from the refrigerator the other from the normal storage and I mixed it.
That was my very on special cocktail!
The mixture was perfect for me,
though the fellows there were always thinking I am a little bit abnormal.
But really I am, you all know!

Thankfully I didn’t dilute any beer with ice cubes! I had to stop my mom from doing that the other day.

Testing pubs near your house?
Tomorrow I will catch some of the Erdinger Weißbier

No, the 5 pubs at next home are all tested as I scouted out a roughly 1000 square mile area this last 2 years.

This is saying goodbye to my current nearest pub.

Us fully vaccinated folks have a responsibility to boost the local economy.

So will need a lot of time to get member of the new 5 regulars’ tables the next time.

I’ve a twinkle in my eye of the next house buy after this next one finishes (hopefully), that next is Scotland which is even more square miles to explore.

Global warming is real and need to get north and a decent height above sea level.
