Could someone please pass the clamato juice?

Liquor is much more dangerous than beer.

Agree. Thats because 2/3rds of alcohol is ingested in the small intestine not the stomach over an hour later.

So spirits you drink quickly as the volume of liquid is small, 2/3rds of the effects kick in long after you get drunk, so most of the side-effects cannot be stopped.

Beer, mostly water, you drink slowly, so most of the effects happen while drinking and less afterwards.

That’s true.
A perfect, scientific statement as usual from @professor.
Prost! :grinning:

Oh yes Franz, I’ve had “foggy eyes” many times due to spirits. But when I’m in the mood I quite like a splash of whisky.

Thankfully the liver does self-recover slowly, just a matter of giving it enough time to recover between toxin exposures. Which I usually don’t :stuck_out_tongue:

If you drink too many soft drinks you will affect the liver also.

Today when I was in my very, very special super market after
my Physiotherapy I found a six pack of those Bock.
(Normally when I go there there is nobody,
but after Easter there were really some customers
(its NORMA, no LIDL, no ALdi)

But you always find very interesting things there.

7.3% strong.
(not for breakfast)

Winter outside here.
Snow and cold.
Think I have to take another one before going to bed today! …hehehe!

We are back to spring here for a couple days, and expecting snow / rain on sund / mond…

Would be nice if we had a soul warming bock here, alas the crafties only seem to do ales and stouts…

Well that sounds like a perfect idea Franz. I might join you with a drink tonight.

After we escaped winter and lockdown I am no more in beers.
Vinho tinto again.
A nossa Saude!

But funny I found Franziskaner Weißbier here.
Special offer in that super market we use to go,
a 1/2 liter bottle which is about 60 cents
in München is about 2.49 Euros here.

What about a glass of delicious portuguese Red wine with fresh fried tuna and backed potatoes from Donna Veronica’s garden.

No more beer?
NO MORE BEER?

I don’t get it, I’ve never heard those words in that order before :flushed:

To be fair, I’m quite partial to a nice glass of red wine Franz as you know.
Nothing fancy or expensive, I like what I like and don’t feel the need to spend lots.
