I assume you mean the computer monitor… the 6k screen monitor…
You do know it’s not meant for private use… right? It’s for like CGI artists and such. Also curious as to where you got that price?

The monitor is $4,999. No stand, no mount. The Apple stand is $999. Or get a Vesa mount for $199. The stand can rotate the monitor vertically or horizontally.
Not surprised. Apple has long been a destination for people that want to spend money just to show off. That’s why there’s a $1000 stand. People will buy it and Apple will continue to be the most profitable company in the world.
I bet, there are a lot of people out there who will bundle it and buy both Apple monitor and Stand…
Only people who ‘know’ like us, will go for other stands 
The price $4999 for a “Pro” display is still too much to pay for…

Now time for my rant of the day…
I don’t know why you people on the anker community will get on to Apple about every little thing, but when Samsung released a phone that doesn’t even work, and everyone defended them. I like both companies, I think they’re both very innovative. When they have problems, they have problems. You can’t decend the Samsung Galaxy Fold, and I can’t defend the fact that Apple won’t use USB-C in iPhones.
Every company has its issues, and we can’t just defend the ones we find favour with.
May be it’s my eyes or my wallet 
that don’t see or crave for that kind of resolution… 
I wouldn’t spend more than 2grand on a 4k, which I have now… and looks already dated…
But again we cannot compare

I guess I have to say it again. It’s not for private home use. They’re targeted professional workplaces like CGI animators and intense graphic designers.

I am really a fan of Apple for iOS and security (whatever they keep saying… Yada yada) but not for steep pricing they project… and I am not getting to Apple… it’s other way around
Glad, I don’t work for CGI nor do I play Minecraft ( my daughter does)
