Who wants to buy a 1000 DOLLAR COMPUTER STAND 🤭😯😦😧🥴

Liked MKBHD’s take on it;

Still waiting to see what a fully loaded Pro will cost, fully maxed out in specs and with x6 of the monitors attached…with stands of course :astonished: :wink:

Just watched it it’s an amazing video I get the point now :money_mouth_face::upside_down_face::+1:

Apple being Apple, huh

Its fine, Apple is hurting from their poor mobile device sales compared to others so they have to stay afloat somehow. :joy:

There was a thread about the big failure of that stupid Samsung folding phone. The only thing good about it was the disco mode it went into when it started to fail.

Lolol I hate that phone marketing bullshit I say :joy:

Who? lol 10 characters are silly

Meant to reply to the tech man soz

Considering the price of the Mac Pro itself, I would think that the stand should be included. Or at least only a quarter of the price that they are asking. YEOUCH!!! Too rich for my blood.

When I worked as a video editor about 10 years ago my station was a fully loaded Mac Pro and with biggest Flat Panel available at time. It was a great computer. It was beast and its still fast. The owner told me its been retired as a production machine but his kids use it.

However 1000 bucks for a stand is stupid ridiculous. Over course there are many Mac Fans that will shell out the money or trendy video production companies might just on the new look.

I’d hope they wouldn’t 1k for metal :joy::joy:

On my way back home commuting… Checked news… all websites are showing the Apple $999 stand as craziest reveal at WWDC 2019 :joy:

While i understand you would want a seriously beefy stand to hold a seriously expensive monitor, the $1k price tag just doesnt seem to jive with the protection aspect. Apple (and many other companies) like to toss out high end devices to show off what they can do, sell off to ritzy celebs and such (they do spend 20k for an iphobe thats jewel encrusted cuz they can), and gauge the market for that magic pricepoint that is high enough for great profit yet low enough to nlt alienate people. Though I think they stretched it a little far for this one.

It’s still not marketed for celebrities. It’s still made for professional use such as CGI, and professional graghic design etc.

I agree with tech man and that mainly your average consumer won’t buy it and it’s mainly for business and cgi editors who need a powerful workstation and a great screen
So Apple really has ticked all of there boxes :+1:

Why not just buy an iPhone with the money and rest the screen against a wall - or use the phone box to make a eco friendly stand :joy:

guys it not ONLY stand, its istand :smiley: :smiley: :smiley: :smiley:

Instead of all this bad PR, Apple could have just bumped the Pro Display price to $6000 or $7000 and included the stand with it…

Some one at Apple sure lost thier job for this mishap

Probably not…

if not, then someone got a promotion and a raise :wink:
