Seems for many of us staying at home its weekend all the time.
But its so different.
Weather wiill be fine warm and sunshine here.
That will create troubles.
People will go out and will not care about the restrictions given.
I understand them.
We have house with space and a private garden.
But there so many others who dont.

Go out, can be fine.
Go out and get within 2 meters of people and cough and sneeze, not fine.
Do it sensibly. Only people you live with who are already close insides, can be close outside.
I suggest enjoy the weather, just do it intelligently. But I agree with you, intelligence is not that dense in humanity.

This weekend is mostly about decorating for us - kitchen.
Early this morning I got up and painted the ceiling and coving, just finished the second coat.
After lunch I will go to the DIY store for kitchen and living room paint.
They still do click and collect.
Apparently you show the order email through the car window. They get your stuff, show it to you and put it in your boot for you.
100% convenience, 0% interaction.

When painting Paul never use any cheap wall paint.
I did that when I had to safe money as a student.
But in those times I had plenty of time
Doing 3 coatings.
I normally use ALPINA expensive but really one coating all is perfect,.

Here our most popular brand is Dulux.
Our kitchen is a light yellow and we are going white to make it brighter.
Yes boot, as in rear of the car. Or trunk as our American friends would say 
Woodwork is the worst.
Many years ago my dad gave me something called knotting.
You put a small dab of this over the knots is wood and it stops the yellowish patches showing through white wood. It works well.

There is a special lacquer you can hide everything.
In German its called “Sperrgrund”.
Expensive, but one time used nothings shows up any more
I used it when stinking black smear (grease) came out of the flue pipe in the house.
I tried so many things.
But this was fantastic.
Over, clean since many years.
There are different types (as usual) on the market

Familiar with it, the knots have more resin in, this blocks it from oozing out. Good stuff, generally only needs doing once or very infrequently.
We totally redecorated every part of the house, replaced half the carpets, last 6 months. So, a bit bored. Been on 2 hour walk. Not seen someone for a few weeks, phoned them and they chatted from inside their house through open window.

Its good, a necessity, to keep contact with people.
