Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

Hey everyone, hope you’ve had a great Saturday.
Quick trip to Sheringham for a swim and popped into town and the seafront for a walk.

You are always strolling around such a lot.
That’s great.
I like that old station.
“Merry old England”

Sheringham is a lovely place.
Here another of the station.

No more traffic there I suppose.
So those old suitcases are decoration.
Seems the whole station is museum.

Looks like a lovely place to visit! We have a similar place about half hour away from us in Devon.

Slow weekend here, husband working both days (he’s in the police) so me and the kids are getting the house cleaned and tidied up after the Christmas & daughter’s birthday celebrations! Back to school Monday for one, Weds for the other so getting P.E. kits etc ready!

The suitcases are for decoration but it’s a full functioning railway.
It serves tourist and enthusiasts along with special events (Christmas etc) with steam trains running most of the year.
They hold Christmas events on the trains and have a posh restaurant carriage to eat on the journey - like a mini Orient Express

Devon is one of our favourite holidays destinations.
This year we visited and did the Dartmouth steam railway and boat trip - that was great.

Happy birthday to the daughter.

Our boy goes back to school
Monday too.
We thought we got “stuff” ready for the return before Christmas, but it appears we didn’t :man_facepalming:t2:

I have been particularly busy this last couple of days. Me and my wife were taking down the Christmas tree as well as outside lights. I am hoping to take the kids out to family center here soon before we start a major house cleaning to get rid of clutter (well that is what my wife is stating we are doing -LOLOLOL)

And I’m sure she knows best @Duane_Lester
It’s weird when the decorations are down, the house looks so bare, but it’s good getting back to normal.

You could start the decorations for Easter, Paul.
This way the house is always decorated in a different way!

After collecting antiquities for about 40 years, I do always some changing in decorations here. in the house.
Sometimes I find items I haven’t seen for a long time.
What a surprise!
Too many things.

When I came to Munich for studying I brought one suitcase.
This was 1970, but what do I own now?
Too many things, really. :joy:
Have to care about the kitchen now.
NO “Bratwurst und Sauerkraut” today!
