Funny! “Like too much”
I would say the opposite is correct.
If some one is interested in many things its an advantage.
The only job you can not do is an “official”.
Those have not many interests.

Amazing news @ktkundy well done.

Let me get in on this 3 year old post. This past weekend, my wife, two kids, and I watched the 2021 Space Jam with Lebron James

Sorry for the late response, but the game and atmosphere was fun. I’m a soccer fan but it was actually my first professional game lol. Charlotte ended up winning 2 to 1.
How have you been?
I haven’t been here in a while

Heading golfing tomorrow, first time in about 6 years
 what could possibly go wrong
 lol

All are busy here!

Don’t forget to relax!
I made some nice findings at the flea market today.
A nice MĂŒnchen stein
With a funny saying.

Will take photos tomorrow and give you a fitting translation.

Looking forward to seeing your findings, Franz :+1:

The beerstein.

This one is a extraordinary " souvenir stein".
The normal ones are often pretty simple.
Its about 1890/1900
Stoneware, salt glazed, original lid.
The saying :

"A biss’l Raufen
Recht viel Saufen
Frisch, Froh und Frei,
Beharrlich und treu,
fĂŒr’n König
durch’s Feuer.
Dös is a Bayer.
->
A little bit of scuffle
(that’s not a real fight) :grinning:
A lot of drinking
happy, glad and free
persistant an loyal
to the king
This is a Bavarian".

I think I will keep this for a while .
Could be a nice birthday donation.

But he /she has to be a real Bavarian.

Very nice!

Are these used for actual drinking or just for display purposes?

I’m not into steins but this one is quite nice
I really like the contrasting blue and white color scheme. :+1:

Of course you could use it for drinking beer.
And these were used in those days about 1900.
Nowadays these serve mainly for decoration.

I had a huge collection of those steins.
Sold a great part in the 1990-ies.
Now there are ca 60 pieces left.
I am not collecting anymore.
But when finding one for a reasonable price I buy of course.

Please, please dont let die our only last active thread here.

Weekend - Please no WEAK END.

I found such a funny lithography today.
So I will take photos tomorrow.
The theme is “Treibjagd” not a simple hunt the dictionary says “shoot” or “battue”.
i dont know what is correct. Please help me out.

(Of course the friends from UK know perfectly, its more common there -> dogs, horses and hunting horn)
Tutu tutu tutu!

But litho this shows a “bavarian hunting” so funny!

Just finished up a day of DIY on a relative’s kitchen (with more to do)
would normally say it’s time for a beer but sleep is calling.

Still your “own” brewer, Neil?
If the price for beer will follow the European inflation as I suppose, home brewing will be a need.

But don’t let find out your neighbours.
If so, it will move into a full time job!

I saw, there is a lot equipment for brewing offered
for improving and to get it more and more done professionally.

Here are some photos from “Die Treibjagd”.
Not easy to take, because its a big litho.
Could be done better.

The start, the hunt, the result, the end!

August Roeseler is a well known artist in MĂŒnchen.
Very famous because of his “Dackel” (Dachshund") cartoons.
He designed beer stein decorations as well.
I have two of these.
Always very humorous.

Nobody here? All gone?
Should I really play the funeral march

I can turn off the light!

I’m still here so you’re not fully alone and the funeral March can be moved back a little.

I am sure there are others as well. I think there are like five or six of us that are on here pretty regularly for the most part. Hopefully, more will come back in time. Life can get busy for some which is totally understanding
