I came to Tennessee for the weekend. It’s been a great weekend so far
Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)
got about 10 inches at home and about 8 at school.
The wind was crazy (up to 45mph from what I heard from the news), some areas have no snow at all, and in others, the snow is piled so high it was crazy.
Hope everyone is having a good one and staying safe.
Thats the crazy thing about such a snowfall.
Snowdrifts.
These appear only with heavy winds.
Covered with snow last week.
But today!
They are here, with power and toughness.
Are we not here in this forum like this little snowdrops…
We will stay!
btw We never planted them, but they are here and so lovely.
I’ve never been to Tennessee.
I’ve found a fabulous AirBnB, advertised as COVID compliant with the latest air filtration system.
Private driveway.
Well stocked library, here’s some of Trump’s speeches.
Pssst!
No politics!
Lol my bad!
How was your weekend friend?
All OK with you from our small but exclusive regular’s table?
Have been to the usual flee markets which reopened now.
Works perfectly.
They check the vacc certification (QR code) and Id card.
One has to wear the obligatory mask.
No problems at all.
I met a some buddies who got it, but they didn’t feel nothing.
Weird.
Only they have been tested positive, otherwise they would not have recognized.
Meanwhile the whole thing is more than strange.
Get shares from those who produce those “tests”.
Good business!
Been quite a familiar weekend for us.
Charlie has Covid since Thursday so is in isolation/lockdown in the house.
He is fine and in good spirits, mild headache and cold symptoms.
Debs and I are negative but I have a terrible cold but am getting in negative tests each day.
So we are thankful that Charlie’s symptoms are mild, as many people suffer badly.
Government guidelines say Debs and I can go out as usual, very risky I think, even though we are both negative.
My works guidlines is I have to isolate for at least 5 days. I can’t go back to work until i have 2 clear tests after the 5 days.
This is good for us as I can home school Charlie while Debs work from home.
I think it’s very ironic that every test kit I’ve used has been “made in China”
It’s great you can get to the flea market, it’s always good to catch up with old friends.
I’m glad to hear you are negative i wish your son a speedy recovery
A few beers every day keeps the virus away!
Glad to hear his symptoms are mild I hope he recovers quick and the rest of your family stays safe
Well I will take your advice on that Franz
Thanks @ktkundy
And yes, fingers crossed for Debs and I.
But it seems from experience that if others in the household gets it, its often a week to two after.
So I’ll take @Chiquinho advice and have a beer a day to keep the Covid at bay
Or never!
Well, I’m keeping my fingers crossed
My father in law ended up with a dry cough after Christmas, the same one my wife’s cousin had (3 people came over to visit for Christmas total). 4 days later he has the same cough. I drive over some tests and he is positive. Mother in law gets tested, same deal. Youngest daughter is the first one to show symptoms, then my other daughter (both under 5 so no vax). My wife and I have all 3. Both end up being positive along with my wife. I had some small chest pressure, but tested negative on 3 home and 1 PCR test. Safe to say I feel you on the rough weekend because being the only not sick one was a blast lol.
