Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

I love this feature! Wish my work van had that :grimacing:

My daily driver is 27 years old…a 1994 Ford Mustang GT in Canary Yellow. Still going strong and just recently got some new “shoes” (tires) for it.

Those “old” cars are consuming a lot of fuel.
Here in Germany the 1 Liter super gas is about 2 Euros.

They only consume fuel when you move them. Don’t move them. Problem solved!

BTW for cycling it costs about £7 for a meal which then fuels 100 miles biking. So that’s 7p/mile , a car is usually around 29p/mile so eating and biking is about quarter of the cost.

My cars very efficient 10-11ppm (but obviously still highly polluting)
So can I eat and drive instead of eat and bike? :sunglasses:

I can even eat without using the car and the bike.
Snow outside.
So staying at home with beer and food!

Yes I restock in the good weather days. Is that Übersee Park?

Yes it is the park nearby.

If I were to eat then bike, I have a feeling I’d be pretty high polluting…

Hope you all are not to busy with the Christmas things.
Remember there is always time to have a beer together.

I will open a Weißbier now.
Who wants to join?

Prost.

Btw. There are special “Christmas beers” brewed and sold.
But mostly strong ones.
Not my taste so far.

Nobody here?
I know Paul is installing his cameras
and hopes to catch a glimpse of Santa Claus and could persuade him that this year he doesn’t need ties and socks!

I had a real miracle happening.
Our > 30 year old washer was loosing water when runs in.
I cleaned & checked everything (pump water hopper etc)
All fine.
So I decided to call service.

But what a miracle yesterday all dry.
No more incontinence!
Seems there was something blocking the system and now its gone!

Saved me some money.
And there is no need to get such a new electronic one.
The “good old MIELE” (German workmanship from ca 1980)

Thats a good result Franz :+1:t2:
Our vacuum is from Miele, awesome little thing and has been with us for nearly 20 years.
The odd bump and scratch, but mechanically it’s fine.

In our days you will never get any electric item in such a quality.
So you should keep it as long a possible!

How is everyone doing? Anyone ready for the weekend?

Yes I am .
May I ask you a question?
Does “anyone” and “everyone” mean the same?

Yes and no they do but they don’t English can be confusing. Everyone is more so used to refer to the group as a whole while anyone I believe is singular meaning any one person in a group while everyone is like every person. So my message was basically asking how every single person on the community was doing? And then if any single person from the group was ready for the weekend. Hope that makes sense.
