Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

Hey @TheSnarkyOne
I’ve never been a fan of Guinness, I think it’s a Marmite drink, you either love it or hate it.

I hope everyone has a great Halloween and remember the day after is usually when you can see some nice sales on candy :joy:

Halloween is not so important here.
Some do, many not-
Its of Irish origin and now is celebrated in UK and US.
Good business for candy producers and pumpkin growers.
We like pumpkin here too.
As a delicious soup!

There are many stories about that Guinness’s foam.
If you can lay a penny on it : its good!

My family usually waits for after Halloween to buy a lot of the Halloween stuff because stores when become rushed to get rid of it and bring new things in so lots of people get rid of their pumpkins which my family gladly take for pumpkin seeds and other foods of the sort and candy then becomes really cheap in most stores the day after

There are many recipes to create delicious pumpkin dishes.
Soup, chutney cake, souffle etc. :grinning:

I grow up after WWII so I know!
Never waste food!

Your age is fluid

69 two years apart. Impressive! I knew a few women who were aged 39 for even longer.

Love the fangs dude :+1:

Lol at least you don’t have to spend any money on your costume

Haha thanks, but those are my actual teeth. I had my front teeth removed because when my fillings fell out it took half of my front teeth with them. So I’m awaiting for my partial bridge to be done so I have front teeth again. But as you can see calls for some killer fangs perfect for my vampire look

When I reached 70 I started counting backward.

Cromer today.
6 degrees, 40mph winds and with the tide coming in created some great waves.

And thankfully nobody needed the life ring!

All busy here?
Waiting for Black Friday, getting “things”?
We in Germany are on the way to the next lockdown meanwhile.
So I have to hurry to the flea market tomorrow.
I think it will be closed soon.
Today I bought two large “foo dogs”.
This are the temple guards in China.
Will take photos tomorrow.

All friends here, have a good start in the weekend!

Looks like the EU countries are starting to play hardball with the pandemic, lockdowns and legal vaccinations…stay safe Franz and enjoy the freedom you’ve still got safely.

Fond memories of lockdown, all the roads quiet.

Biked a lot without the irksome cars.

Wouldn’t mind another lockdown so I don’t have to be squished to the side under leaves and potholes.

I doubt the US will go through another lockdown. Many here don’t take it seriously. By the time they take it seriously, it’s too late
