Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

Well if I come to Germany I will need to pay extra attention when reading food labels

Plum jam, never tried it, but think I would like it!

This is very difficult to explain.
Takes a lot of time to prepare.
A whole day cooking and stirring.

This is an traditional recipe from Bohemia / KuK Austria.
Called Powidl.
I really dont know if there are recipes to be found in English.
Often those are secrets! :grinning:

There is an Austrian product :

Looks like this on a bread :

I know UK is very famous of the jams produced there.
BUT I am sure there is not such one.

There’s so much to do @professor
For old and young there so much fun at Cromer

Southport is nice, a guy I used to work with came from there. He used to say people there are either retired or about to retire.

Ja ja the first one could be such one.
I was sure the “Plum Jam” is popular also in UK.
I will show the BBC recipe to Mrs. Franz
She likes to play around with such recipes a lot.
And, I already mentioned it : The “UK jam cookers” are famous and well known.

Lets go back to a beer Paul!.
No more jam or marmalade.
Prost from München to Cromer. :joy:

Nice find, Franz! Very interesting…they don’t have this sort of thing in Southern California, that’s for sure!

I’m free! First time in months I’m not tied to close to home, so packed an overnight backpack and meandering into the hills.

Working back through time - getting a tenant for old house, moving house, buying house, finding house, recovering from broken leg, lockdown, recovering from broken arm, lockdown, moving house, selling house. Busy and boring at the same time.

on train now, plenty of Anker with me

Northern England needs rain, it’s been a dry warm summer.

I’m already thinking I packed the wrong Powercore, I have the 10000 PD but it was already down to just 2 of 4 lights just recharge tablet phone and LC40 and grand scheme the 20000 PD wouldn’t be noticeably more weight/volume.

Weather permitting some mountain hiking photos next week.
