I will do.
But the most I saw were of bad quality.

I was looking for good ones, couldnā€™t find any quickly. So I got some cheap ones while I wait. Still better than the holesā€¦

Hi friends.
Sorry to be a stranger, I feel a little bad I canā€™t get much time in here.

Here a beer, probably better for the Beer Thread but wanted to stop in and say hi.
Hope you guys are all doing great and are safe and well.

Today we have walked to the in-laws and having a few beers, cheers.

All is good on the island thanks Franz.
Hope you and Mrs Franz are doing great.
Remember, if things arenā€™t quite right a beer will always fix it :sunglasses:

Iā€™m slowly upping my walking, around 10 miles a day.

The simplest pleasures are worthwhile.

Great photos @professor
Thats right, simple is more than often better.
10miles is good going.
Iā€™m currently running (fast jogging) my 3 mile loop plus extra at the weekend etc.
The nice weather is encouraging me to get a short jog in before work too, but quite often I find Iā€™m starting work earlier to get home sooner.
First world problems hey?

Iā€™m nowhere near running capable yet as canā€™t get the leg fully back, need to stretch the thigh muscles more. Plus until I see an X-ray without a crack in it, Iā€™m very careful. I had them take the locking screws out so I donā€™t have rotation strength, the screws were interfering with my knee, I tried to get all the metalwork out but surgeon said too risky for at least a year.

So itā€™s walking and slow biking only for months still.

Sausage, bacon, black pudding anyone?

Hey @ktkundy
Lifeā€™s all good with us thanks for asking. Hope all is great with you too?

Charlie is still churning the miles.
Friday we did 15 miles and found a great BMX race track, which we cruised round several million times

I know you like photos here.
I present you the two garden guards.
The figures are ca 50cm. So they look very impressive!

The garden looks like a jungle meanwhile
We love it.
Not a ā€œGerman gardenā€ at all!

Do you have names for them?

Not difficult, from about aged 14 the strength builds and itā€™s primarily a focus on when you eat, an energetic day is about 4000-5000 calories and body stores once fit about 2000 calories so just need to eat little often within first couple of hours as it takes 2 hours to turn food from mouth to legs.

Thatā€™s the only secret, and most donā€™t realise, they think eating big night before helps, nope, or just ride til hungry, nope.

Body can store sugars in legs and liver only so much and dumps excess into fat which then is too slow a release source to last 100 miles, burn 500 cals/hour.

So after 2 hours biking you have to eat 500 cals/hour and only stop eating 2 hours before stopping.

Then overnight the sugar is repopulated from fat stores so you lose weight overnight as the calorie debt is repaid.
