Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

A skilled beer drinker can use both arms, Paul.
But never use a drinking straw! :joy:

I remember a friend who fell down from the stairs (too much beer)
and broke both wrists.
Big probs.
No more beers and a “discreet” helping hand at the loo!

Apparently their controls systems were not compromised, it was the financial systems. Those are harder to air gap - they probably have to interact with a large number of customers. Apparently in this case firewalls plus sanitizing database inputs wasn’t enough. But from what I have read the controls systems were all perfectly functional all the way through.

With the crisis passing, we need to start placing some serious penalties on attacks of this sort. They are basically acts of war, and the perpetrators should be treated as pirates under international law.

This is a very difficult theme.
I will not publish my ideas about that.
Could lead into a political discussion we usually do avoid!
By the way : LINUX servers and systems are more secure than others.

Nice! Just got my second one couple hours ago. My arm is feeling slightly heavy so I’m trying to keep it moving

Hey @Shivam_Shah
Well done on your second.
Same here! I was active during the day and hit a 10k run that evening.
I often think with these things is if you sit around waiting to feel poorly, you probably will!

It’s the nano bots @paulstevenewing… just like lee majors… oh wait… no it’s not… :rofl::joy::rofl:

That’s absolutely right! I did feel my arm hurting more and being restricted when I wasn’t moving it. Today I’m just feeling a little weaker than yesterday and probably had a mild fever overnight but nothing too bad.

Hope you’re doing well a day later!

Really normal, dont worry.

The immune system is working and reacting.
Same happens when you get a “normal flue shot” which I do every year.
After starting that many years ago, I get neither a flue nor a cold.
Claro, the immune system gets activated not only against the flue virus.

My 2nd jab side-effects milder than 1st, basically unusually tired, that’s all. Arm not sore (unlike before). 24 hours later feel 100% fine now.

I’d picked a vaccine day before bad weather for a day in bed and needed half of it.

Still better to control the day of your side-effects than otherwise the virus deciding the day of your illness.

Kinda opposite for me lol. My arm is a little more sore than 1st one but not too big of a difference. But I’m feeling a little weaker this time around but again it seems normal and I knew about it but just a little annoying

Ja, I wouldn’t do something strenuous the same or next day.
These are only safety precautions to avoid any problem which may show up.

After jab went home to bed with all the food and chores done beforehand, 24 hours in bed later feel fine.

Very civilised is a vaccine, control the day. Most workers doing on a Friday to chill over weekend.

I might jinxed it but this week we crossed 70% population vaccinated, barely any deaths, just a few hotspots to wag finger at to do the right thing, then we’re done with the little buggers.

No foreign holidays, here is my holiday home.

I have two Powercore 20000 PD for a week of box sets.

Is that tiny thing if front yours?

Yes I have two, a dual skin two pole bad wet windy weather home and a lighter (to pack) single skin one pole drier weather home. All human powered with home video system via Powercore and Soundcore.

My broken leg is now capable of 10 mile walks, down from my usual 16 mile walks so now my 2nd vaccine out of the way… House on back and get out.

Please my friend! Never such a broken leg…

There is a photo from our last vacations.
Really there are some of these “levadas” you can bike there.
But another spell there.
“Nao quero quebrar as minhas pobras pernas”

I was walking (without stick) and saw a gentleman walking (with stick) and gave them the non-verbal “after you” to give them space. We chatted.

Seems they fell over in a supermarket. Broke the same bones.

I have diligently focused on healing and am now stick-free limp-free but can’t yet run. They were 3 years later still with a stick.

I’ve learned so many lessons I’m not sure I’m capable of being any more careful. I’m already the only cyclist who goes downhill slower than uphill.

Here is a symbolic reminder how I feel - these photos my own.

Some special plan at Pentecost?

Hope the weather will get better!
The whole week rain.

Today I swapped the bicycle tires of my wife’s bike.
Seems they were more expensive than the bike is.
But they are of good quality so far.
I had some stored in the garage.
Didnt fit.
In my youth we had only 28 and 26.
Now we have such a lot of different ones.

Normally I buy those at the flea markets.
But there is no!
