Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

It’s an awesome bit of kit mate.
Took a bit of getting to grips with, in size and format, but great that it’s identical to my phone.

Hope you feel well after having the jab.

The surgeon mucked up my knee putting in too long rod, so it was constantly rubbing under my kneecap and the swelling never going down, so I could always bike as less knee movement but walking but on crutches for months. They then opened me up and did the job properly and the healing could then finish normally.

5 weeks ago photo don’t click if easily squemish.

Summary

So what would have taken 3 months took 6 months.

I’m now nearly perfect, I can bike 100 miles and my walking without aid is now 2 miles, about to walk now… My usual fitness is walking up to 16 miles.

As days lengthen and hopefully good weather, lockdown eases, vaccination, etc, then more hours out not looking at screens.

So I’m afraid the spammer we been battling in India will need more eyes to stop them. They’ve done one so far today :see_no_evil:

Over half the adults done. Massive successful program, the UK is pretty good at incompetence but they didn’t mess this up.

In my town there are 3 vaccination centers, in the one I was in they were doing a jab on average every 20 seconds, the queue was moving forward 3 people a minute, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Very professional, feeling Proud to be British today.

I’m staying home now til sure no side effects.

FYI I didn’t take the jab for me, my risks have always been tiny anyway, its to remove myself from being a virus factory for the little bugger, so I do my bit to protect others around me in coming months.

My immune system is weird, it over-reacts. The upside is I’m barely ill, recover fast, that meant I put myself at the front doing the shopping for those shielding, who all now vaccinated and they are ending an Anus Horribilis. The downside is a big armfull of nasty stuff has made me feel bad. Have had metallic taste in mouth within an hour, then ringing in ear, then headache, then blurred vision, then overall ache including in neck, and now the nastiness “down below”. Only 12 hours in.

I do expect to be fine shortly. I did it on a convenient day and time to allow for this period. Others I know who work Mon-Fri are doing theirs today Friday afternoon to allow to recover over weekend.

Looking forward to going to the beer garden in a few weeks.

Apologies for higher typos… its all a bit blurred…

Shouldn’t it be spring now?

Not here in München (-2C) light snowfalls.

We put some new plants in the garage and the little new apple tree as well.

Next week it should get about 13C -> starting to plant.

Not fixing, digging and fixing after!

It has been much warmer recently and we had a few warm days over the last few weeks.
Bring on the summer! :sunny:

You wouldn’t belive it, Charlie made brownies today.
Simple recipe, but its keeps him happy and wanting to bake.
He doesn’t need much help to make brownies, only clearing up, obviously! Kids don’t like clearing up after themselves

It’s been ok so far. Yesterday I cleaned around the house a bit. I was gonna wash my car but it was cold and windy here. We are cooking out later at my sister’s. After that I’ll come back home and be lazy for the rest of the day lol

Sound great @ikari04warrior Apart from the cleaning the house bit!

No, no, a simple Chocolate cake will do.

But cleaning the kitchen after heavy work is really a must!

May I get a brownie to taste, Charlie?
