Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

I’ve biked 250 miles this last week.

I’m not at my peak, before two lockdown and breaking arm and leg I could do 350-500 miles in a week.

The coast is very busy, there’s not much people can do legal currently but out walking is permitted.

I did nothing today, but I hope nobody will lift that secret.

But, no.

I will take a beer and after that reading “Franz Werfel” (great austrian/yewish author)

Thats good about the biking side of things. At least you can get the miles under your belt and build your fitness up.
Will the leg straighten up fully @professor

Nearly forgot about.
My daughter will do a very important bachelor test tomorrow.

May be some family members will help her and keep “fingers crossed”!

Do it please!

When I grow up in the alps we were used to ca 2m of snow.
That’s the reason I dont like such mountains.
Sea shores and green country thats what my decision is.
May be not always, but in vacations we used to go in these areas if possible!.

I still have snow as well but not as much as @TheSnarkyOne still has. I’ve been lucky with some slightly warmer weather to melt a lot of it

A coworker managed to snap a picture of the local (and bold) wildlife… they look quite healthy and looking for an easy meal…

For those unfamiliar, those are coyotes. Smaller than wolves, but can be more aggressive.

Man I miss the snow :pensive:

We have no more snow. We did have several days of freezing rain. Come to find out my gutters basically froze. Well last weekend it was suppose to rain. I ended up buying a heat gun but there was no way it was going to unfreeze all of the gutters. So I ended up using the heat gun to unfreeze the down spouts and hope that we did not have a heavy rain (which we did not)

Also for those that are not familiar with coyotes, it is not uncommon for them to kill and eat small dogs. It is not recommended to leave your small dog alone in your own backyard.

Or small children for that matter… I saw these two and immediately thought “gee those would make a great pair of mitts and a couple of hats…”

Oh I thought those were wolfes.
No wolfes or coyotes here in München.
Some squirrels and neighbor’s cats and a lot of birds.
That’s enough “zoo” for us.

Last year a buzzard showed up killed a pigeon in our garden.
eating it up very slow (We let him do )
When he was ready after a few hours only feathers were left.
A very clean and effecitve hunter.
Unfortunately he never came back.
I would have loved it to see him reducing the pigeons here in the town.
