Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

Well Franz, it is doing something with your hands!
Is that wood to burn or to male things with?

I got many one way pallets from my polish friends.
All from untreated wood.
Good for the tile stove.
(never take so called Euro pallets, those are soaked with some chemicals!)+

Some of my pallets are really good for constructions ( eg. a huge plywood board)
I will create a new table for the garden may be.

Yesterday I actually went to this nice park and after I went hiking. We finally got some nice sunny weather.
It’s been raining non stop for a like a week here.

Now today (Sunday) I’m sitting on the couch listening to some music and browsing the forum :+1:

Sounds like a great relaxing weekend.
It’s been rather mild here in the UK today too.
Bring on the Spring mate :+1:t2:

Great to hear things are warming up for you too Franz.
Have fun chopping wood tomorrow đŸȘ“

Biking. Mild and dry. I’m so unfit, an embarrassingly poor time said my clock.

I’m still waiting for the snow to melt over here before I even get to see what flowers may or may not come up. Hope everyone had a nice weekend

Hey everyone, I hope your weekend is everything you hoped it would be.
Cold and misty start here in the UK but we hit the tracks early anyway.

The mist cleared to leave a sunny but chilly morning.
Made all the better by having a pit stop for icecream.

Whatever you’re up to, I hope you have a great one :+1:t2:

I see my very best friend Charlie is on the way to spring!
Give him a special hug Pauli, from Franz in MĂŒnchen!

Was getting colder here over the weekend and I had to stop my palettes “project”
And I really have no more space to store the wood

But when I do some firing I can start next week to cut the rest of it.

Got some probs with my Bosch electric ripsaw.
An old engineer is clever, opened it and found out the issue
The “coals” went down
So ordered replacements.
Will get these on Monday.
More happy sawing next week.

Charlie says hi and do you have any snow left in Germany?

That is the problem Franz, once you chop the wood you need to store it. Maybe a neighbour will let you store some in their garden?

It’s always a shame when things go wrong, but like you, I love the challenge to try and fix myself.
Make sure you fit the guards correctly before testing. Remember, it’s the wood you need to cut, not your hands!

I will prepare another “wood storage” in the garden.
I still have a lot of beach wood left!
So for this year I will order less.
Meanwhile the “wood business” needs to be planned.
But what can I do if the fellows show up with a lorry and bring a pile for free?

Charlie :
Nor more snow here.!

Last week two woodpeckers showed up at my garden fence.
They were so busy and tried to catch some worms i suppose!
I told that to Achim my neighbor who has an isolated house!
The woodpeckers like to thrill in those isolation!
The foto is lousy i know. Sorry.
But to change for a Tele I had no time and I even dont know where it is.
