Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

Last week I found my old / first iPod touch from my gadget collection (from 2008)… was dead, kept it on charge for like about 2 day without any hope… finally powered up showing the cable connecting to iTunes… recovery mode.

Was able to restore from iTunes (fresh install) and get it working… cannot do much, some basic browsing, photos, mp3 (play using the 3.5mm jack), but it works!!!

I now have it on my desk as a calculator

But I dont have the printer anymore.

I have a 30 gig Zune form 2008 as well and it still works with a decent battery life. I still use it to listen to the radio at work.

Funny story when I got it on Black Friday. We waited at Best Buy for it to open as we going in an older woman in her 60’s was walking too but she was not watching where she was going. She ran into me. I am 6’2" and over 200. So she ran into me and basically fell down from a dead stop. I was asking was she ok and she just looked at me.

Morning everyone.
I trust you’ve all had a great week and are well.

I haven’t been around much recently, thanks to those that private messaged :+1:t2:

With changing jobs my day to day routine has changed quite a bit, also with home schooling and ther commitments (nor Ravpower or Aukey etc ) I’ve found it hard to free up time to be here.

I’ll do my best to jump in where i can and try not to become a stranger.

What do you all have planned for the weekend?

Oh yes Paul, you could write me an email.

What can pensioners do in the lockdown?
Not so much.

We are creating now special soups (of course not those from cans )
And we are baking bread.
There is no shortage of bread here in Germany.
Dont care, no “care paket” needed.
We have fun to mix special doughs.
Getting better and better.

But will not swap recipes here, like old housewifes.

We are now birdwatchers.
You will not believe what kind of birds here are showing up in our garden.
Ok, we do feeding, so the like the place here.

I am sure when I will open the veranda door in spring some will come into our living. and take a look who are the donors.

stranger, here is one!

Will we see a snowman photo? (hint)

O ja, there should be some snowfalls in UK too.

Same here in Germany, but not in the south of Germany,
The Prussians will be heavy involved, not the Bavarians. :grinning:

We go used to have heavy snow falls here , but not those in the North.
Best would be for them to stay at home, not such a big problem -> lockdown.
Same for you in UK!
Dont know if they got winter tires on the island.

It sure is going to be cold.
Hopefully the rain we are getting today drys overnight for the snow to lay.

We got out in the snow the other week. Great fun, but need more this time!

Great, the earlier kids are learning to prepare food the better.

But the real crux is, that often parents are not able to cook, so how will kids learn.
Heating up some ready meals is all they learn.

As much as I’d love too watch it live, it’s on a crazy-oclock here in the UK.
Will be odd with such a small amount of people in the stadium.
I’m surprised, but not, that they allowed spectators this year Kaitlyn. 20000 people i heard?

Really 20.000 spectators.

Good luck spectators!
No more comments.:no_mouth:

Yeah I was surprised too but each stadium gets to make their own rules to some extent. They went with that number because it’s about 1/3 of the stadiums total capacity. And I know some portion of that 20,000 is tickets they gave out for free to vaccinated healthcare workers. Should be interesting hope they all stay safe
