Right. That’s what I mean. If they were SkullCandy or something, ok, but Apple, not Beats, Apple headphones for $350 are a joke. The only Apple headphones I’ve ever own are the POS they give you when we buy a new device. Lol.
Uh oh, Apple’s new headphones will bankrupt me, won’t they?
I have Airpods second Gen, actually couple of them - don’t fit well in ears, and don’t use them much after I got Soundcore L2P. They work well, audio is good. Soundcore is very good in my opinion, at the same time Airpods are not bad.
Apple has good quality products (for most part) at exuberant prices (all the times), just because these are expensive, you cannot write off the newer headset as Trash sound. It is more of a personal opinion for people, some love Apple, Some Bose, Some Soundcore, and some love all - as a collection (I have most of each of them, and quite happy)
Haven’t tested because I dont own such ones. I am sure these are no trash at all.
How would you call the fact that there are earbuds for the half price or even less which offer a good sound as well.
I would say those apple headphones are highly overpriced.
But last not least nobody is forced to buy.
I’m sorry but the AirPods and AirPods 2 are trash. They aren’t worth paying even $40 for.
I agree Apple has always put out crap audio products. And yes at $350, for Apple headphones which I know aren’t going to be as good as Soundcore’s, I think I am able to call them trash right of the bat lol. No offense. SoundCore’s “best” true wireless earbuds, the L2P are less than half the price and most likely 100x better all around.
In my opinion, this is a right statement than calling them trash, .Apple prices way too much than any good headset for average price.
Not defending any specific brands… being respectful of products and companies. There must be some reason behind a specific product being a Best Selling Wireless earbuds globally. Just because people are not ready to shell out more money does not mean these products are trash. There is a target audience for each and every product out there.
I love Soundcore L2P and Life Q10… But that does not mean i belittle other products from different companies.
There is. Apple has built a name. People want that name stuck to the side of their face, so they buy AirPods. In fact most AirPods users would even admit to this (of the ones I know). I know multiple people who told me they only use AirPods because of the name…
Same is with speakers.
I own a Bose soundlink 1 since many years.
Other users had problems with the battery, dying after 250 cycles.
I dont know if I am in that range.
The only thing I have heard about is the very bad and unfriendly service of that company.
I had never to contact it and hope I will not have it in the future.
This Bose soundlink is more expensive than a comparable soundcore product.
Not better in sound. But no trash indeed.
Just made a comparison with soundcore motion+, both fine when playing
Mozart’s piano concerto Nr. 9 (Maria Joao Pires)
I too have one of Sound link Mini… which i almost forgot about … have stored it, remove it for recharging once every 4 months
I totally disagree. It is very easy to see why Airpods are the #1 seller because for the general public they are the safe, known brand and they probably have an iPhone too. Most people want to just have the newest tech, most of us, on the other hand, want the newest tech, but the best version that we can find. As far as “bashing” the company, I’m not trying to, I really just want to stress my opinion that Apple is like the last place I would go looking for quality audio products
We don’t need to agree on anything here… It is personal choices, each product has its own share of Pros and cons. It is a open world, people go for whichever product works best for them, so using terms as these
Or these doesn’t help anyone.
We love Anker and Soundcore products a lot, majority of all the products I use are from Anker, it is my favorite brand. But we can be Anker Fans without doing such talks, that too without even using or testing the specific product (new Headphone).
I will leave it here, and not get into this more.
Too bad I am not such a “misguided” customer.
And what are people doing with “their old tech”?
Garbage!!! That’s a real shame.
Apple is known to create tech,
which can not be used and updated after some software cycles.
This is what I dislike.
Do we really need always the newest phone?
And if so, please tell me why!
I do not understand.
You don’t need the newest phone, but you should always have a newer phone. Because phones stop getting security updates after a few years (generally 2-3 years for android phones, and 5 years for iPhones)
If someone can tell my why it is so?
Take a look at LINUX.
I am able to install the newest (most safe) Kernel on my old neanderthalean devices.
Because there is no profit orientation like the others do.
Hit the nail on the head Franz, its all about the money
I might be strange, but I actually prefer wired headphones, I understand the hassle of untangling them, but, on any of my electronics I am consistently monitoring the battery life, I just feel more at ease using wired headphones, but idk maybe that’s just me.
Correct, wherever there is a profit there are always:
- deliberately flawed products to then improve later to make you buy
- deliberately stopped support to make you buy.
The jump to open source doubles the life until it is physically dead. I have had 20 year old devices still useful running Linux.
No I mean like we are interested in the new stuff coming out. No I definitely DO NOT buy a new anything as soon as it comes out. I wait for the deals. I should proofread before I post. Sry. I think the real techies are the ones who do love old tech, hell I do. What I meant was most consumers go by Brand name, but the people on this forum, for the most part, are willing to share info back and forth in order to find the best product of it’s type. That does not mean that we are buying it, we usually just want to know what it is. Does that make more sense??
Regardless of security updates, as important as they are, the companies have made it so that if you do not upgrade within that time frame your phone either can not support the new OS updates, can not keep up with the incoming speeds and is probably full(memory) just from OS updates. I hate that.
I am with you. I own true wireless and my Vortex are technically wireless as well as my Space NCs but I prefer to use the Aux input on the Vortex whenever I am gaming or watching something with them and with the NCs they come with this awesome cable that allows them to go from wireless Bluetooth to regular wired headphones, for like Airplanes and if you just want to save battery. Ask any Gamer or Audiophile, wired sound is always better sound. i own wireless purely for the convience not the quality.
