Uh oh, Apple’s new headphones will bankrupt me, won’t they?
Apple products didn’t ruin me financially.
They ruined my nerves, if there were no more upgrades available for their old products.
These are still $50 cheaper than the Bose equivalent
But for me, I will not get these - I am pretty happy with the Soundcore Life Q10 (unless of course, I win it in some competition, )
Ouch…while I like Apple products and the ecosystem, the ‘premium’ price tags they assign really don’t do them any favours in snagging those on the fence over stuff…
For me it’s Soundcore all the way for audio at the moment (though I am still very fond of my Sony Studio pro wired headset)
TMobile had the airpods pro for $250. I was tempted but decided not to waste the money
Those things will probably cost more than the 2020 iPhone SE. And as much as I’ll want them, there’s no way I’ll buy them. I’m happy with my Soundcore Q10 & Liberty 2.
These 2 are my personal favorites
I use Samsung Galaxy Buds+ that came free with my phone (via claim).
RRP £159 and they are pretty decent.
I haven’t listened to super expensive buds but think think with most things like this, once the cost gets to a certain point, you pay a lot more money for tiny differences in sound. And audio is such a personal taste, the sound the manufacturers produce may not be what you like.
Exactly.
music -> recording -> compression -> earbuds -> ear
A lot of chain links!
The “weakest” is the human ear.
The older you get the weaker those are.
Some with sensitive ears may hear differences!
The majority doesn’t , but they “think” the hear these differences.
Speaking of this, some people, like one of my old colleagues and I, can hear some high frequent noises when some electrical devices go wrong while others hear nothing. That bothers us a lot, literally a lot, coz most of time they won’t believe that there is a terribly noisy device needed to be fixed until we found the broken device out and showed it to them.
Claro, the older you get the more you loose the ability to hear high frequencies.
And you young ones will loose a lot of your hearing ability as well.
1, Using the earpods/earphones too loud
2. Strolling around often in ultra loud discotheques.
If someone is working in such a resort (noise and hearing issues) he should take a hearing test first.
I am sure I will not hear any hissing which you young folks hear.
So sell those with such a hissing only to customers > 60 years old!
We hear the high frequencies mostly from TVs/ refrigerators in our office. Too bad we can’t sell them out
I don’t know about these headphones. I’ll stick with the Beats that came with my mac
Speaking of, they just went on sale today the Q10s
$350?! Are they nuts? First off, all those little features like how they pause when you take them off your head, or they sense which way you are wearing them, etc. add NOTHING to the most important aspect of any headphones, Sound Quality. The only thing that article says is a sound quality feature is a tunable EQ…I agree with everyone saying Soundcore all the way, you can’t beat the sound quality+useful features+price. I don’t see me replacing my Vortex until they literally do not work anymore and knowing Anker, that’s gonna be a while. Yes, if you want a crazy good system Bose sound quality, in most devices, is amazing. I have a Bose soundbar and bass module that was way over-priced, but the quality of sound is sublime! Apple makes computers when they bought Beats from Dre I guess they thought they were audio people now.
May be, but I have heard and read, their support is awful.
Sure probably lol. I’m only speaking about this product in particular, not the company in general. It’s the Soundbar 500 with Bass Module. Way over-priced but I got it at a steal.
Some are able “to steal”, others have to buy regularly!
$350 really isn’t bad for a really good over ear wireless headset. The issue is that I’m positive these will have trash sound (based off of airpods, and Beats headphones).
