N+1 - calling anyone who can out-geek me step forwards

Anyone here can beat me?

  • Pixel C
  • Lenovo laptop
  • Toshiba Chromebook
  • Huawei mediapad m5 10,8 LTE
  • Google LG Nexus 7 2013
  • Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus
  • OnePlus6
  • Huawei mediapad m5 8.4 LTE
  • Samsung Google Nexus 10
  • LG Watch Urbane 2
  • Fossil Sport

Picture taken with my spare phone, Moto G4 Play.

So there’s 4 phones in the photo, the Huawei, OnePlus and the LG Watch all take SIMs, probably the best network signal is the OnePlus as its got most LTE bands. I have 4 SIMs, ATT work-paid, T-Mobile family-plan post-paid an Truphone MVNO ATT pre-pay, and UK Giffgaff (O2 MVNO).

Not shown are two Arm Raspberri Pi type servers and my work supplied Windows 10 laptop. Which is awful I prefer Linux or ChromeOS.

Anker cannot charge the Lenovo laptop or the ChromeBook but can charge everything else.

You got a nice collection of devices and laptops there @professor

Which of these devices do you actually use day to day? I have too many devices, but use only Win 10 for Work and ChromeBit CS10 at home, my home Windows 10 Dell Laptop is powered off and not turned on for last 6months

Chromebook gets used every day when home.
OnePlus gets used every day.
One of the smartwatches gets used every day.
Then its probably that Huawei Mediapad M5 8.4 LTE.

The Nexus 7, 10 I replaced their batteries last year but barely used now. The Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus is going to be gifted shortly.

My travel laptop was the Pixel C, now the Huawei Mediapad M5 10.8 LTE, Pixel C is now getting quite slow, Android gets bigger/slower each version.

I have a 42RU rack full of equipment split among networking gear and servers. Do I win? lol :joy_cat:

Wow, nice collection there. And hey, if nobody looks under, the mess doesn’t exist :stuck_out_tongue:

When I get back from work I post a picture of some stuff. It’s a different kind of “geek” though :joy:

Two drawers of Anker stuff, also arranged highly organized and neatly.

Although I could still use a few more USB-C cables.

The red makes the packets go faster (scientific research has proven this, so don’t question it). Oddly enough, it has an inverse affect on the frames…

Not liquid cooled?

Here’s what I have on me at the moment

I couldnt find all of the stuff I have atm… So Ill defer. On the upside I did sell off 3 old windows 98 pcs to my work to satisfy an equipment requirement they had so my collection dropped a little bit (and yes, they all worked very well).

Now I am intrigued to see what the “geek” thing is :joy::rofl:

Wow you all got some serious electronics :joy:. We have 5 laptops (1 broken), 4 iPhone 7 and 4 iPhone 5 that we don’t use and I forget to give it to Apple for whatever they give me (or just recycle at this point)

Keep the iPhones, may be these can be auctioned for few thousands in future via eBay  I am planning on doing the same, saw an article other day of Original iPod unopened package popped up on eBay for $19995 :joy:

Yeah but if i bought only 1 iphone I’d have spent all the money I spent on these :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That’s honestly insane. I don’t think the 5 will go for even a $1000 any time soon and the battery will just deteriorate by sitting in the same place. Might just end up sitting there by the time you put your phones on auction :joy:

It takes time, 10 -15 years from now… I still have the first gen ipod, iPod touch and some iPhones ( lot of ifs and buts :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::crossed_fingers:)

I have one smartphone! lol

Of course I have a couple small powerbanks (and a big 1 on the way), a couple pairs of head/earphones, and a handful of cables, and 2 wireless stands (7.5/10), and a USBC wall charger.

I did have a tablet once, but wasn’t that fussed on it, as was slower than the phone I had at the time.

Many years ago, I had an Acer laptop… ok spec for the time, after upgrading to w7 (it came with vista… Just saying that word makes me pull a face!) I sold it for half what I paid… Not bad for a 4 year old lappy.

Have thought a couple times of getting a tablet again, but it’s got.to be as good as my phone… Minimum

You have mentioned your eyesight not that good and you have 6" phone, that Huawei Mediapad 8.4 probably cost less than your Samsung, it has a big battery, fast cpu, takes a 256GB SD card. Most people don’t realise such devices exist, you’d put your phone SIM in. The downside is you can’t sit down with the phablet and need big pockets.

It’s different, difficult for you in UK, different import and tax rules but my phablet cost £222 and my 200GB SD card cost £19. That’s quite a bit less cost than a S10. Works with a Giffgaff SIM.
