Change is the name of life, things keep changing, nothing is permanent in this world, just trying to adapt to new things

Microsoft Edge on Chromium is one of them

I am very conservative regarding software.
If you are familiar with LINUX you will understand this.
Whenever something is working with that OS you keep that version as long as possible.
But of course we are all free to use what we want or what we must use.

Microsoft is abandoning the core Edge browser technology and adopting the chromium, since majority of web developers and applications are now supporting chrome / chromium, so Edge browser will be based on chromium which is mostly open source but governed by Google

Did a bit more digging after I installed the developer version of MS Edge based on Chromium… Microsoft has removed or replaced Lot of Google’s services that come as part of Chromium like Google Now, and Chrome OS-related services, and many more
… this makes it faster than Google Chrome

Not surprised, I like edge it better than explorer. But I still prefer Chrome. Im curious to see what they can do with Chromium.

Did a comparison of speed for Google Chrome Version 73.0.3683.103 (Official Build) (64-bit)Vs Microsoft Edge (Chromimum Dev) Version 74.1.96.24 (Official build) dev (64-bit),

Edge looks faster than Chrome

Google Chrome Version 73.0.3683.103 (Official Build) (64-bit

Microsoft Edge (Chromimum Dev) Version 74.1.96.24 (Official build) dev (64-bit)

Never used that " Exploder" :joy: was too dangerous, as there were so many bugs in the past.
Firefox and Chrome normally and Safari with MacOS.

Adding to the same post… Google has decided to handicap / almost block ad-blockers in the upcoming Chrome release… which evidently falls in line with their business …

This makes Microsoft Chromium based Edge browser as a better candidate. Also Brave browser. Same extension list but forked version.

Microsoft chose the right time to get the momentum from this fallout
