A small tour?
We could make a 4 weeks tour!
But Charlie and Debbie will not allow. and my wife also!

Paul’s and Franz’s beer tour through southern England.
We could publish a book after! :joy:

Same would be a tour here -> Franconia.
Small breweries, often they sell their stuff
only in barrels in a few pubs nearby.
But such a beer from the barrel is the best.
The “gas” is much finer than from bottles.

No bottles, because these need some equipment to be filled perfectly they can not afford.

I would love to visit and try some real local German beers.
Visit my friends up north then over to you and Mrs Franz.
Flight time is about 1hr 45m so I could be with you in time for dinner :sunglasses:

Munich has a nice airport, on a clear frosty winter’s day you can see the Alps.

Yes Franz, I know!
To be fair, I don’t care what the month is when it’s comes to beer
It was a lovely drink, very refreshing.

Hey guys, the weekend starts here.
So this is an Interesting beer?
Sorbet beer, 6% brewed I’m Australia.

First impression, tastes like sorbet mixed with vinegar.
Final impression, tastes like sorbet mixed with vinegar.

So after that failure, grabbed this.
Nice can, British ingredients and doesn’t taste like sorbet mixed with vinegar

Brewed on the south west corner of England.

You mean it wasn’t nostalgically refreshing??

Surprised they named it as they did, as that’s a term we’d say here,is condescending slang to pale westerners…

The second looks very yum… been busy with plaster work, so had two Pilsner style in rapid succession last eve… no photos… didn’t last that long… lol

100% NOT @TheSnarkyOne

I tasted this a couple of days ago. Yuk.

The taster came out a purple colour and tasted like Ribena.

I think if we give up beef and just have beer and tofu we’re doing our bit.

Thats some interesting stats @professor
Did realise farmed prawns have such high outputs.

So quite a way from a slight blue tint and Berry overtones the blurb suggests.
Good job you didn’t buy a mini barrel!

I remember I was gifted a 5L mini barrel some time ago from
our University brewery.
Yes, the TU München runs a small testing brewery in Freising.
Our chair helped them often out with computer probs so we got free beer.
Was a perfect “joined venture”.

I had to empty this barrel alone.
Was no problem, took not so much time. :joy:

5 liter isn’t so much for a skilled beer drinker and the beer was excellent.
Prosit from München to the friends here!

Hoping it was a singleton… you know the rule with whiskeys, is start with the best first, so by the time you get to the third or fourth you go to the lessor ones.

Perhaps some planning to have this one last may have helped…

I have had a couple of sours, one was a kettle sour and was okay, and another was a milkshake sour, w/ passion fruit. It was actually quite good.

If your not used to kombucha and fermented sours, they can be a bit to take.

Was this the first sour you’ve had of late @paulstevenewing

Well thats a perfect relationship Franz, beer for help!
I’m sure you took the challenge of “emptying the barrel” seriously - good work

Hey @TheSnarkyOne
It was the first and last sour that I’ll taste.
I don’t think leaving it till last would have helped

I think it’s just not my kind of drink.
