Apple already claims their HomePod is priced low for what it has to offer, even though I don’t think it is. Amazon is rumored to be working on a competitor already. Who knows? It might even release before December.
Enter Anker. Better sound than HomePod, $199 (just a guess).

Apple’s Homepod is just ridiculously priced even with all the audio enhancing features they presented. I love my echo dot but with Anker in the mix now with something in between that is Alexa compatible AND with Anker sound quality…this fall/winter should get interesting.

Whatever name Anker comes up with, Im sure it will be better than “HomePod” also.

Having tested the Genie while it was under an NDA, I was surprised that it had some unadvertised features. One neat hidden feature of the Genie is that is also acts as an AirPlay speaker… now let’s see if that is still true after today’s firmware updates.
I do not think Anker should be messing with big companies. Just look what happened when Coca-Cola got pissed off!

Yes - Genie still can access skills (I used the iHeartRadio skill).
