Activity zones feature isn’t working AT ALL

this issue has been raised several times since the Kickstarter campaign.

According to Anker the engineering team would look into it . I’m on the latest eufycam 2 version hoping this has been fixed with a second release but unfortunately the activity zones feature is just a joke.

It doesn’t matter how you set it up, it keeps sending notifications and record stuff out of the activity zones.

anker/eufy should really step up and fix some basic stuff that had to work before even thinking of launching a security product like this.

So @AnkerSupport @AnkerTechnical please don’t just forward the “suggestions” to the engineering team, update the community with some real behind the scene news. Are you guys fixing the activity zones feature. Are you guys fixing the geofencing feature ? Are you adding Mfa ? Etc

Here’s an example of the crappy geofencing feature. I’m using the latest iPhones and using gps usage always on for eufy security app and it still doesn’t work and doesn’t make sense.

@ikari04warrior this doesn’t work no matter what I do it’s gone for me I have reset, uninstalled app, reset up all cameras nothing works so frustrating…

That’s weird. What software version base and camera do you have and which version eufycam 1 or 2 ?

I’m on :

Eufycam 2
Cam version 2.5.9
Base 2 version 2.0.7.8h

@Dalma I have the same version Base 2 version 2.0.7.8h but for my cams I have version 1.5.9! Are you sure you have that version? How can it be so high from mine? :thinking:

Maybe they need to push out an update or something

Perhaps the version of 2c isn’t the same as the 2

Same here. Also HomeBase 2 with firmware 2.0.7.8h and 2.5.9 for the eufyCam.
Geofencing works not always and the activity zones don’t work at all.

@Bas_van_Gelderen Same here its going on 3 weeks + with no help in site this is disgusting… I have to deal with a lot of notifications because of this. I will deal with it I’m sure they are working on a fix! It would be nice if we could get a conformation or response on if they are fixing…:thinking:

I have the opposite problem of most of the people here.

I’m having trouble getting notifications inside my eufyCam E’s Activity Zones. I have three Activity Zones set up for each camera, but the motion has to be almost directly in front of the cameras to trigger a notification. This makes the Activity Zones pretty useless.

I wish there was a software fix for this.

@Dalma I just heard back the other day and you are correct. The 2 and 2c have different firmwares solely based on the floodlight because they both basically have same internals except for larger batteries and light.

Looks like they are back on the app now they just appeared today with no app update :thinking: must be a server side thing
