Hi @Birdsong10us!

We are sincerely sorry that the Wifi extender is currently not available for this our eufycam.

For this Wifi issue, it has been fixed when you adjust the distance between the camera and Homebase, the troubleshooting has solved the majority of the connection cases.

You have our promise that our engineers would work day and night to improve this product and we are glad to have your support and understanding, which would be a huge encouragement for us to seeking continuous improvement.

We will keep working on this feature, and please feel free to contact us support@eufylife.com. We will have our specialist to assist you case by case.

This word and promise is worth

nothing!

You better stop promising before you fullfiled all the old promises which have been never held in over 13 months now! All the backers and customers from the first minute know what i am talking about.

Just bought the Homebase 2 with 2 x 2c Security Camera for “outdoors”. Now I find if I mount the camera outdoors the wifi signal is too weak. Everything else I have with wifi works fine in this location. Just the Eufy camera. If you sell a product for outdoors I would expect it should have good connectivity to the outside world. My outdoor location is only 10m away from Homebase and I live in a timber home so no thick brick walls. As soon as I walk out from my front door the signal drops completely with another step forward. I now see the wifi is Eufy wifi. When will there be a wifi extender to resolve this problem that it seems many people are having?

While you wait…

Try:

  • moving the Homebase to nearer your camera. Homebase can connect wired and wireless to your network.
  • buy a non Anker WiFi extender (*) place that towards the direction you lack a signal and then place your homebase further way out you then can to connect to the extender.

Because Homebase connects to your network you don’t actually need an Anker extender as you buy another network extender solution and then connect Homebase to that.

(*)
Extending:

  • Ethernet
  • Powerline which is Ethernet over electrical wires
  • WiFi repeater
  • WiFi access point
  • old routers configured to become one of the above.

What you possibly may find is this works out lower cost and improved other WiFi device speed/reliability.
