I have ordered a USB 3.0 Docking Station? (AK-68ANDOCKS) and need a cable to link it to my DVI screen.
To fit to the docking station, do I need a male or female connector? (Or is the socket on the docking station male or female?)
Thanks!

The connector on the dock is female (as are most for docks) so you will need a male adapter (if you want VGA at a later date) and/or male DVI cable for direct connection
male is usually the part with pins (pointy bits) and female the one with the holes… guess where that naming idea came from.
Both your monitor and docking station would have the female ports.
But yeah you would just need a standard DVI to DVI cable… the type PCs use. Or a HDMI to DVI cable would work as well.
