What do you think about the Car Jump Starter?

It’s advertised for 3L Gas or 2.5L Diesel. I have a 5.7L Toyota Tundra. Was wondering if anyone has experienced the Jump Starter Kit with a full-size truck? Any advise?

I’m sure you could possibly jump start it. Those ratings aren’t really based off scientific data or anything. For all I know it just depends how much current your starter likes to draw to start cranking, and that can vary from car to car. Some larger 6+ liter V8 engines are lighter than even some 4 and 6 cylinder engines (for example the GM LS motor). All depends on the amps required. Some cars will start with a 400 CCA 12V battery and some will need a 700 CCA battery. I’d say look at your car battery and see how many amps it’s designed to put out. Should give an idea how much is required to start your truck reliably. Lesser amps can still start your truck, however.

With all that being said do you want to run the risk of messing your jumpstarter up? I wouldnt risk it. Im sure those numbers are accurate as Anker is good about giving accurate readings on all their products capacities and limits.

This device seems handy with the ability to charge your devices, jump start your car and the inclusion of a flashlight. One more feature would really make it handy to keep in the vehicle… a tool on the end to be able to break out the side window in an emergency. If that was added, having a bracket to mount it on the dash within easy reach would be superb.

I don’t think it is a good idea to have a Lithium Ion packed device being hit hard to escape, it risks being forced to be on fire and with say an accident and leaking fuel tank…

You need an inert device to break out, plenty of those exist.
