Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

I was thinking to get such one by my self.
But there is really no need, because it is not used often.
Sharing is better.
I am sure Arnim and me will stay friends.

But you know there are SO MANY quarrels between neighbors here in Germany.
The courts are overworked and the lawyers happy!
The problem is people DON’T talk to each other if there is a problem.
The got a legal protection insurance and so they have to complain.

I do not understand.

It’s a crazy world we live in.
I fear the art of face to face communication is being lost as we move more into the digital age.

Oh ja!
Many prefer writing emails in our days
Even when a couple is getting on divorce!

"I dont love you anymore. I leave you."
That’s all.

But this is not new at all.
There are many stories from men disappearing.

"I will buy some cigarettes, my dear"

Never come back home.
But a month later a postcard arrived from the USA.

"I feel fine , they have better cigarettes here !""

Hey guys, hope you are all well and had a great day.
For us, today was mostly about burning and eating calories.
6 mile walk, good pace as Charlie was on his bike.
When we got home we made another brownie.
The weather was fantastic again, but i think it’s on the turn. If that proves to be the case it will reinvigorate me to get back into the decorating.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Wow, thats a fair distance. I bet your step count is amazing!
Whats your work if you don’t mind me asking?

Not at all. I do professional landscaping, mainly for very wealthy people (multimillionaires).

My step count is actually much less impressive, due to me taking long strides as I walk.

Awesome @TechMan
I bet thats a satisfying job and hopefully you get to work with some interesting people.

I don’t know if you mean work “with”, or work “for” interesting people, but both are true.

I worked for a guy with one of the largest semi truck collections in the world (weird collection lol).

I worked for a guy that had a secret entrance to his estate- which I thought was very interesting. He didn’t tell us about it for like 5 months. We didn’t even service half of his property so that we didn’t find the it about the secret entrance.

I’ve worked for plenty of people with huge antique car collections.

Almost everyone we work for wants to stay super anonymous about the amount of money they have, so I can’t give many details about anyone.

Sounds great and exciting at the same time @TechMan

Sorry, should have been “Work with some interesting clients”
When I’m working on a project with a client I introduce as I’m working “with” them, as opposed to working “for” them. Just a twist on words I guess, I find I build a more positive relationship quicker and it also helps get the point across I need their help as much as they need mine.
Doesn’t always work, as I’m sure you find the same in your line of work.
Everyone client is different and have different needs, I guess that keeps things interesting :+1:t2:

I tried to build relationships with clients Quickly through humour. You Find the clients “type of humour”, and then just go with that.

We have 100% 5 star ratings across all platforms, so I guess it works well :joy:

Paul’s Bakery!

All restaurants closed.
So people have to cook and bake.
BUT many cant at all.
You have a perfect bakery!

This is the time to try new recipes.
But many people are unable to cook and bake.
There are millions of videos showing how to, but If you are only able to “heat” a ready meal
those instructions will not help, because you can not handle nothing without any talent.

We cookers and bakers know it
We can read a recipe and recognize what is good from it.
Often its only one hint or trick from a recipe to improve the own one.

A friend of mine from the university is only able to cook noodles and preparing a sauce.
Real true.
Now I got him to use olive oil instead of vegetable oil.
Improvement for him! His sauce is so much better now, he told me.

Today now terrace cleaning. Sunday! no noise!
Its really a lot of work. But its works!
