Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

I have a question to all friends here.
Because ANKER does not offer such one, I suppose I ask here.:innocent:

I want to donate a smart watch / fitness watch to my daughter.
Is there a model one can recommend?

Is she tied to a certain phone platform? I know people at my job who have iPhones love Apple watches even some of the older ones. I used to have a Fitbit charge 3 for a while until I took it to Arizona and the 110 F weather caused the glass screen to break. Since then I had another Fitbit which was decent but their screen quality doesnā€™t seem to last long Iā€™ve had a couple friends have the screen die on them as well. A couple runner friends I have love farming but I personally havenā€™t tried them myself

I am a Apple Watch user and recommend series 8 (No cellular), if not, Apple Watch SE ( No cellular), use it with iPhone.

Works as described, handy to pick up calls when phone is on charge, tracks movements and sleep most accurately.

Thank you for responding Kaitlyn.

She uses an Android Xiaomi.

Oh 100F is ca 43C.
This is a temperature such a device should stand.

There are so many models around meanwhile.
Its not easy to decide.
Many of these seems to be rubbish, I suppose.
eg. Those cheap ones on amazon.

Thank you for responding.
I am not such a Apple fan Shenoy.
And she uses an Android phone.
So such an Apple watch is no option.

Otherwise I think its pretty expensive, though its good.

Hope Apple brings Watch compatibility with Android phonesā€¦ This may happen soon

I donā€™t know which language is used to program an application in our days.
I suppose its JAVA.

But :
The more apps and different software is needed the more are issues.

I would recommend Fitbit or Garmin. Depending on needs. I use an iPhone but still use a Garmin Fenix (older model) as opposed to Apple Watch for the GPS and hiking trail routing capabilities. Wife uses Fitbit Versa (older model) and she loves it.

Fitbit sense / sense 2 is quite decent, and also often offers for reduction.

Google now owns Fitbit though, in case that poses concernā€¦.

Depends on what features would be most of use. The sense has quite good sleep tracking, and battery life without all the extras on, boasts over 7 days before charging.

No one was active for 4 weeks at the weekend.
I cant believe.
We need more.
I know its summer and many of yours are out.
I was out today and found this little machine.
Works!
Seems to be from 1920/30/40

What could it be?

Is that a telegraph/Morse device? Iā€™ve never seen one in person, that is really cool!

My son is young and saw his first coin pay phone in person a month ago. He was fascinated by it

No, its not!:slightly_smiling_face:

Indeed this old machine looks a little bit like a ā€œmorse apparatusā€.
These devices still exist and many are in use in our days,.
But the design has totally changed.

Of course I will lift the secret!
Stay tuned!:grinning:

Really great weather here in MĆ¼nchen too.
Autumn.
The nights are fresh, but dys are warm.
Now its 16: 45 and we have 27C in the shadow.

Its good to safe costs for heating!
I changed my natural gas supplier.
But the price its still more than the double it had been a year before.

There are many suppliers around on the market.
But last year some got bankrupt.
Of course there is no deactivation from the supply.
But one will get the gas from the so called ā€œGrundversorgungā€
(basic supply) which is expensive
and has to find a new supplier which needs a certain time.

Do not know what that is but we went my brother to take a tour of an abandoned psychological facility that some say is ā€œhauntedā€

I have better pictures on my other devices

Great place.
If we remove the ā€œLadyā€, perfect.
Show us some more photos.
We need more activity!:grinning:

The one picture was a refurbished area. Several other areas was a little creepy. My son loved it.

Overall, it was an interesting trip.

The spooky stuff was due to the number of people that died there.

The Trans-Alkeghent Lunatic Asylum was open in 1864 but closed in 1994 when the place that was to house 250 but got as bad as having 2000 folks in there.

Had some questionable reason for admission such as asthma to taking wifes due to husband wanting to have his mistress with the wife out of the way.

The creepy areas are more interesting.
There are many fans around who like abandoned places,

Not me, so far.

But when a young child, our gang liked to explore bunkers left from WWII.
Many things were left and could be found.
