Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

be careful you are not a youngster.
Slow, very slow.
i could tell you what a “…” I was when I was young.
Now.

OK I will do and you all my friends from UK have to take care of such hoarded boxes.
How do we call this kind of business!
That’s really more than international.
How many Paulaner should I store for you Paul and what kind of beer do you prefer @ndalby

But how to get the boxes to UK?

Beer is still cheap here, but @professor is right.
Still cheap, will increase.

Maybe you should keep as many Paulaner as you do Franziskaner.
That way theres no arguing who has the last beer

Oh ja, you are really a “wise man” Paul.

Remember I have a lot of space in the basement.
An the car (Touran) got a lot of space for the boxes.

What about the Krombacher?
I told you its a PIls,not my taste, but yours must be different.
And thats so good Paul.
Prost from München!

Difficult here to get such beers.
But best would be you get in touch with Bavarian Weißbier.
Not easy to be found in the UK.
May be Erdinger

Ive left the beer for tonight.
Been a busy day and getting late to open a bottle now

Oh yes I forgot you are working, not only idlers (slackers, loafers) here.
(Whats is the best expression for these? )

I like slackers, from the pronouncing.

I like “Idlers”

“Slacker” reminds me of someone lazy
“Loafer” reminds me of a type of shoe (at least in the USA)

Yes @professor 5am start today, normally 6am.
Good thing is that im a 12-15min drive from work.

I think the polite expression would be retired, in your case anyway.
Another term i like is “lay about” but there are many more im sure.
Off to bed again, 9.30pm my time.
It was an early start and a very busy day.

I know retired of course I tried to find a word for the German “Nichtstuer”.
(Somebody who does nothing!)
So I took a look at the dictionary.

“idler” is nice as well.
“Idleness”

Yes you are of course right loafers I remember this type of shoes called “penny loafers”.

And there could be put a “penny” in this “slot” on top.

I wore those in highschool for a period of time, a lot of people I knew actually put pennies in them, but they had to be “lucky” pennies

All pennies put there are “lucky ones.”

I wore these when I was a student, this was really great fashion in those times and I am sure if there is the perfect marketing strategy there will be a certain come back.

These shoes very elegant and much more individual than those from Nke, Adidas and all the fakes of this trademarks.

Hey everyone, i hope you had an amazing weekend.
Been a busy one for us and finished with a trip into town and took Charlie to his first live football game, or soccer depending on your location.

Wireless PowerCore came in handy, not for me but for someone sitting infront of me.

We are off work this coming week so the weekend doesnt end here!
Have a great week everyone :+1:t2:

Not so many spectators.
I was not often in such a stadium.

But I remember well when I visited the River Plate arena in Buenos Aires, 40 years ago.
Boca Juniors - River plate. ( The most famous local derby)
The stadium was full (about 75.000)
The atmosphere fantastic, uncredible.
But the most interesting was , no problems with the spectators, no hooligans in those times.
All peaceful but so frenetic!

I have to confess I was never in the “Allianz Arena” (FC Bayern)
My interests in football are “zero” meanwhile.
