Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

You need as special recipe?
Warm a really strong beer, put honey & sugar in it.
Drink it, sitting on the edge of the bed and fall in after immediately.
Will help enormously!

Florida?

I’d live your life, but sleep a few floors above the ground level.

Lots of beaches nearby to me here in Orange County, California but I seldom go as they are too touristy and crowded on sunny summer days. Too cold/windy in Fall and Winter.

I used to bike ~30 miles to the beach (via a bikway that runs along a north/south river nearby) when we lived further inland but that was many years ago when I was just out of high school.

Nice pics @professor

This weekend I decided to try the northern reaper burrito from one of the chains in town… here is their poster, and I had to sign a waiver… was funny… that’s why I have tears in mine eyes… honest…

That was last night supper, today… not wanting to visit the dunny…

All said it wasnt bad and I managed 3/4 of it before tappin out… glad I had a few cups of yogurt and some water handy…

Hope everybody is having a relaxing weekend

Your tolerance improves if you do it often, work your way up, spend time one level below til it’s not hot then move up a level.

I have Ghost Pepper on my eggs for breakfast.

After a long time of abstinence!!!
Just back from the opera (Nationaltheater München)
“La forza des destino”
Unfortunately the local star Jonas Kaufmann was indisposed in health.
Some spectators must have been very disappointed.
(Expensive tickets. The most expensive 235 Euros)
We got ours for free (very special relations )
Same source for final rehearsals’ tickets.

But his substitute was really a good singer.
So all was fine.
Really great performance.

We have seen this production 3 years ago.
But a great opera can be seen often. :grinning:

I agree, usually I have habanero frequently, and we grow many type over the summer.

This year we had some habs and rezha Macedonian ones. Haven’t yet tried the rezhas.

Also have for the bbq, some reaper steak spice, and scorpion rub. Steak spice was very nice.

How far is the closest beach to you?

It had to be hotter than that. The temperature was mid 80s here at the beach

Was that at Myrtle Beach?

No, it’s north carolina …Johny Mercers fishing pier

I bet hot is an understatement lol. I had to sign a waiver when I tried ONE Carolina Reaper wing

Never been there and great picture :+1:

I would have enjoy if they’d had put the sauce in with the meat, but it was layered on top, at least I was enjoying at home and had yogurt on the stand by… the guy making it wished me luck, saying he tried a bit and was crying pretty bad afterwards…

If you’ve watched the kitchen parts of hot food challenges, when they put the heat in the meat, the act of cooking meat causes a noxious smoke in the kitchen for the throat and eyes of the cook.

When they make a hot sauce it doesn’t have to get as hot as needed to cook meat, so it’s eaiser.

Also it’s cheaper to have all ingredients same bar the sauce as it’s just one different choice at end on assembly.

Hence why I think they just vary the sauce, it’s cheaper.

Hey all.
Been out for a short wander today around our local University, The University of East Anglia.
Some might recognise this building from Avengers End Game.
It the Sainsburys Center for Visual Arts.
