Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

Great photos!
Be careful in such nights “werewolves and vampires” around.

And about the middle of the earth : Jules Verne!
Not only the novel is great, there is a great movie I remember.

Seems there are some modern ones now but I think this ones is the best!

Prost!
I like that Franz.
What are the crests on the lid?

These are the brewery’s crests in 1927.
Some still exist, others don’t.
There were many more in 1900 in München.

What I really like are the shooters.

Tomorrow elections here in Germany.
“My girls” did postal voting.
I will show up in person!
5 min per bike.
This was all I will tell you about!

We also found an upside down house.

@paulstevenewing Ooh love the upside down house - reminds me very much of one we went to in Cornwall last year - the kids loved it - in fact we all did!

Hey @star100x great to hear from you Fiona.
I’d never come across one before and recently a friend told us about it so had to visit.
Like you, we all enjoyed it but very disorientating as the floors were stopped too. Probably shows a little better in this external picture.

@paulstevenewing The outside looks crazy!! The one in cornwall isn’t like that outside - it’s actually looks like a small normal house but is called the “Forbidden Mansion” and is a crazy but fun experience inside - just like nothing else - you walk round endless rooms with tunnels etc - each room is different with clues to move on to the next - but all have odd features - and the dining room is totally upside down like that!! It was such a bizarre experience but we all enjoyed it. A brilliant day out if ever you are down this way!

That sound great @star100x
We have planning to take Charlie over to Cornwall for a couple of years but Covid stopped that.
We are thinking of visiting next summer so may look it it up if that’s the case.

@paulstevenewing Oh would be great place for a full day out - some garden trails as well, and a great hedge maze to make your way through! A really not too commercialised place - so glad we came across it a few years ago as been twice and and had a couple of good days out there!

Great beaches in Cornwall - always try to get a short break down there at the start of each Summer hols - but didnt this year due to Covid and crazy prices!! Kids were disappointed we didn’t get away at all and our August France holiday was cancelled for 2nd year running too - fingers crossed for next year! :crossed_fingers:

This is so true.
We will start traveling next year the same way we did before Covid-19.
We have already booked a short 14 days visit to Donna Veronica’s house in late November on Madeira Island.
All will be fine as usual, we know.

@Chiquinho I really hope travelling does go back to normal!! We were only due to catch the night ferry across to France and stay in a villa within an hour along the coast in Brittany from the ferry port but lost out the last two years. It was a family holiday with my parents and brother and his family so really hoping it finally happens next year as all the cousins would love to catch up as we live a few hours apart in the UK so don’t see each other very often.

I know about that lockdown in UK.
But I am sure all will be much better next year.
Hope dies at last! :grinning:
