Unfortunately no, it ended up being recycled. Another speaker donation made to fill the gap left (model Zero)
Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)
Zero is fine.
We both know that
I am expecting another Flare mini today.
So I can start next TWS project with those.
Now I own 2 Flares and hopefully 2 Flares min soon.
I would say that’s all I need in my tiny office.
Got my other donation from soundcore today : that “mini”,
Should we try to connect yours and mine via partycast?
If this will not work, we have to contact the support!
Got my lil mini 3 yesterday, quite the stout little speaker and pretty good sound.
I’ll have to see if it will partycast with the triplets some time this upcoming week.
May be we could try a connection of the pond
Canadian-German partycast.
But who plays the music?
Kitchen service!
Raining outside.
Mrs. Franz was preparing a plumpcace.
Mr. Franz is eager with the “Roulade” (meat rolls)
Very German!
But of course I got my own special recipe.
Normally these often filled with sliced meat (crazy fill meat with other meat)
or the filling is slices sour cucumbers and ham
I prepared with roasted red sweet peppers and black olives
and not to forget some drops of hot piripiri oil.
More “southern” style
Looks tasty
Was tasty!
All eaten.
Rouladen, baked potatoes and green beans.
Of course there is something left from the cake.
I am not such a cake fan.
But I could bake if I must!
I really could!
Good Morning Kaitlyn,
have a perfect start!
All the best in school
Franz
Thanks! I’m pretty excited for school to start, I’ve always loved learning even when I was little. I’m excited for my operating systems class we are supposed to learn even more about Linux in it so it should be good. Hope all is well with you and that you are having nice weather
I bought a Unix book and a C programming book. I read them and learned Unix and C each in 2 weeks. I’d already learned how to code in Basic and then Fortran some years earlier. If you go back to the 70s / 80s , most computer science type jobs were MVS (IBM mainframe) and Cobol but I was also using VMS (Vax, DEC).
Linux is open source version of Unix. The key question is how system processes are started up, that is very different between Debian (and its derivates e.g. Ubuntu) and Redhat.
So if you intend to learn Linux you’ll probably be directed to learn Redhat as that is the most popular in commercial environments.
From C I then learned C++ which is similar to Javascript. I never bothered to learn Java as I can do all I want with C.
I’ve written 40,000 lines of code.
I started with ALGOL60 (68), FORTRAN, COBOL, PASCAL,
Then C, C++, Haskell, Ocaml, Prolog, (that’s really interesting) Java,
And of course we used assembler (different ones on different machines)
If you understand one, you will understand all others.
There are too many around.
Good is also to know how a compiler works (its tools : eg. scanner, parser etc.)
OK so it’s not the weekend but we have this week off work so everyday feels like the weekend.
Today we did the climbing walls at Gravity and saw the travelling Diplodocus.
Dippy normally resides at the Natural History Museum, London but is on a tour of the U.K. and currently in the lovely Norwich Cathedral.
GREAT!!!
What an adventure for you all especially for Charlie!
The architecture of the cathedral is fantastic!
Impressive!
Wow some really nice pics! Looks like everyone was having a great time! Glad you got to have fun with your family. Enjoy your week!
Hope everyone is staying safe there was crazy flooding by me last night
I saw some photos.
Heavy rainfalls!
We had those over the weekend here in München.
But no problems so far.
Stay safe Kaitlyn!
There are so many cars abandoned and flooded it’s kind of sad I’m just hoping the people around me are safe. Myself and my family are ok. Most of my friends just had flooded basements
