Weekend activities! (old thread reanimated)

I don’t eat a lot in one sitting but I do find myself eating multiple times a day especially back when I was running often

Pensioners never run Kaitlyn.
Even if my wife is behind me, I would not.
I keep my place and defend myself as good as I can!:rofl::rofl:

Same is our daughter (26) she eats a lot but she is slim and perfectly shaped.
I really don’t know how she can do this!

Nice finding today at the flea market!

“Kaiser Willy’s II " huge glass”
Its about from 1903 with the eagle from “Kaiserreich” painted on it.
Will take a photo later.
Unfortunately it doesn’t serve for beer.
White wine only.
How is your weekend, girls and boys?
Enjoy it as usual!
Franz

I thought I’d join in here…

Looking forward to seeing your new (old) Kaiser.

Just going grocery shopping and running errands with my girlfriend today; as children, she lived up the street from me, then she and her family moved away when we were in high school in ~1978) I found her again five years ago some 38 years later (we are both now 59 years old).

Enjoy your weekend, Franz (and all)

You are young ones!! :joy:
Old love never dies for young ones!

I forgot to take a photo of “Kaiser Willy II 's white wine” glass.
Meanwhile I know the glass manufacture (Theresienthal) and the date of production ca 1903.

Great to see you!
The meanwhile small family needs urgently active members!

Your glass manufacturer has a commonality with my girlfriend; her name is Theresa (yes, with the “Th” spelling).

I’m quiet waiting for move house, so doing low-risk healthy activities. Walked 16 miles again yesterday, in pouring rain and my phone is not waterproof so no photos. So a close-enough photo of current conditions.

Interesting (to me) is I walked 16 miles on Tuesday and then felt a need to n.o.t. m.o.v.e. a.n.y. m.o.r.e. , woke stiff/sore/ache and did little on Wednesday, then walked a few miles Thursday, then did the same 16 miles in the reverse direction yesterday, felt fine, woke fine, did about 8 miles walking today no problem. The body gets stronger when stressed.

Expecting to move a house’s contents this time next week. I’ll be aching then! Bend, lift. Knees, arms, back.

The 16 miles (x2) will have helped with your house move…at least with the leg muscles. Back muscles and the others will definitely need to be paid attention to. Hoping for the best for you and the move…stay well.

Be careful when moving things.
" Three times moving is one time burned down" my father used to say,
And he was an expert! (Offizier in WW2)

Never trust any photos you find in the internet.
Photoshop or Gimp are perfect!

I’ve lived a minimalist life so I can move everything in one small car.

On the other hand, I’m not so sure there’s a great loss if a few boxes of shoes or clothes of Mrs Geek got burned down. :see_no_evil:

“Sentimental value” is very back breaking, so the odd house fire may be long term healthy.

NEVER let Mrs. Geek know this! :joy:
(We, the old friends here, will keep of course this secret.)

We have really many wardrobes here in our house.
But, I own only a small one!
The others are for the ladies!

I own my next home and am moving.

Lift…grunt… drop x1000 times and done. I’ve spent months to keep the limbs and back ready. Done two van / car loads so far and more to do.

Then have to get tenant in old house, then buying 2 more houses then I’m done.

I rented a van yesterday and the date of my driving license meant I could legitimately say “I’ve been driving since before you were born” to all the youngsters in the hire office.

I don’t usually drive, I bike / walk as much as possible, so I arrived on a bike and threw the bike in the van. I then spent the next hour saying loudly to myself all the other drivers should slow down and keep their distance. I then passed a road accident, where the children now driving didn’t keep their…

Tenants are not often easy to handle.
I always used to “visit” them in their homes to sign the contract.
This way there can be seen a lot and spying out.

After a catastrophic MOT failure, this morning I helped Dad buy his new car.
The last one he bought was from me 14 years ago, so he got his monies worth from that!

Almost clear sky’s and 24 degrees (which is OK for the U.K.) so what to do?
:beach_umbrella: BEACH! :beach_umbrella:

Great to see you’re having fun.

Went home from flea market very early about 9:00.
Was getting to hot.
Now we have ca 31C here in München
This temperature is normal for summer here in Germany.

But we all should think about our friends in Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece
(up to 48C)
That’s really to much.
( Hiding in in the basement with some beer would be a solution )

My ladies told me I “have” to prepare some “Bratwurst”
OK I will do.
“Chefe de cuisine” today!

Result : Bratwurst : Burned outside, raw inside!
“Chefe de cuisine” will be fired!

I would love this temperature from July to September.
48 degrees is perhaps a little to hot for me

Well Chef Franz, I hope your cooking impresses the girls.
