Oh yes, the paperwork.
Those solicitors do their best to justify their charges.

In Germany those deals can be certified only by notaries.
That’s a job.
Its quasi the license to print money.
Is there a difference between solicitor and lawyer?

You found a paradise!
But be careful, strolling from one pub to the other …
Could end in circles!
“circuli vitiosi”

There isn’t any difference as such between a solicitor or lawyer. Lawyer is a general term as a solicitor and barrister are both classed as lawyers.
Some people or law firms seem to class themselves as solicitors while some will say they are lawyers.

A solicitor is someone that would give general legal advice and prefer legal paperwork a case for going to court or financial documentation.
A barrister specialises in representing a persons case in court.

OK.
Same here but all the same title “Rechtsanwalt”
(lawyer)
Some are specialized. A friend of mine is a specialist for heritage!
Such a barrister is called a “Strafverteidiger” here.
But this can be done by all lawyers.
Never needed neither a lawyer nor a barrister! :grinning:
Thank you Paul, I am learning!

The winner will being donated a flat in Shenzhen! :joy:

This will be the 28th place I’ve lived in…

I like traveling light. Always with my Powercore to keep my 3 year old phone going.

I seem to be able to get buy owning only 1 suitcase worth of stuff and I can unpack into half a wardrobe. Mrs Geek, well… why do you think I need houses!

Going out with my summer shoes on, the other pair I own are under the bed for winter. We all only need 2 pairs of shoes right?

Best for you would be a camper, to travel around with.

And only a carry on for travel. If you can’t fit it in the carry on, you’re taking tooo much.

I hang my head in shame for how I used to travel 20 years, ago I carried a suitcase.

I don’t travel now, the “gift” of knowing the future meant I eliminated flying 2 years ago, not been on an aircraft now 2 years.

But what I did was:

  • eliminate cotton clothes
  • used 3 items of clothing “1 on, 1 in wash, 1 ready to wear” and just each night dunked my clothes in sink and soap and hung to dry over shower to drip then wardrobe to finish drying.
  • travel specific laptop + chargers

I then got my overnight / summer bag to 16L and my 2 week / winter bag to 30L.

I don’t fly now so these are a couple of years old, spot the older Anker products.

Example airport half-packed.

How much over-head bin I needed. Note as I used internal bags in the bag I could take them out and so fit in any space.

Typical contents, this one is for winter, I have a jacket.

Example in airport (this one Dublin)

This in my last ever flight, all I owned fit in the suitcase.

My overnight type or summer bag was smaller.

So you can imagine what I’m thinking stood behind these people. They hiking across Antartica with that luggage, or are they moving house and that’s his and wife’s total possessions?
