Meanwhile… Went biking in Cumbria today. Roads and towns very busy, cyclists of course immune to traffic.

Lots of standing water, biking through rivers, from a storm yesterday, rain on top of hills but dry for me. Learn to bike in sandals

We’d booked a 4pm table for the UK half price food deal today but weather so good trying later and it’s heaving busy in all the pubs. :frowning:

It’s Monday-Wednesday so what folks are doing is ordering far more food than they can eat, then get a go-to box and eat the rest on Thursday. Poor kitchen staff.

As a really long day for me I’m out with my Powercore 20000 PD and tablet to keep me going while the 1 hour wait for food.

I wish I had that kind of view. All I have is the side of a building.

You good man.
I resurface cabinets, countertops and bathtubs. I pretty much work with paint all day long. The company I work for has many properties so I do a lot of driving too.
Overall it’s a good job and I like it :+1:

Thanks, zoom in lower right and see all the cars. I’ll try to find a shot away from summer.

The school kids really need to go back so these places get quieter. The UK has very unreliable weather so many UK folks go to a more reliable place like south of France, Spain, etc but the you-know-what has meant a mass holiday-within-the-borders to not get caught by quarantine.

Yesterday, weather awful, tomorrow, weather bad, today weather good so out on bike!

Edit: same location as seen when no you-know-what, see no cars, despite weather perfect.

Pretty good thanks for asking, it’s been an odd one.
I gave my notice today to finish 31st September, starting new job 1st October. So exciting times ahead.

Congrats on the new job!! and yes, exciting times ahead :+1:

Inflexibility in working hours and poor morale since we were brought out a couple of years ago.
After 14 years service it’s time for someone else to suffer me
