using two soundcore2 for stereo

Here’s a qusetion for all the tech nerds on here!
I have two soundcore2 units and i wanted to use them to give me a stereo sound. I use my laptop’s headphone output (stereo 3.5mm) and split it into left and right with a stereo to mono splitter. Plug each of the outputs into a soundcore so i have a left and right speaker, in much the same way as you do with el cheapo pc speakers.
problem is, it sounds terrible!!
Is this because the soundcore is trying to process a mono signal in to a stereo output?
BTW, if i use a stereo splitter and have both units outputting the left and right signal on the desl in front of me, it sounds awesome :slight_smile:
hopefully one of you will have an answer!

Ja , I never tried, but it seems the splitter!

If you found a perfect way. Do it and keep it.

Never ask why, because you will never find it out, be happy if it works,

( I did 50 years hardware- and software engineering ! :rofl:)

Chances are

  • the original sound is digital, under BT it stays digital until the speaker makes an analogue signal to the driver.
  • under an analogue cable the analogue signal is made in your laptop, you probably have interference in the socket, splitter, cable.

If you want to stick with this method,look for better cables, but if your laptop is the culprit then changing cables may make no good.

@Chiquinho, @professor
interesting comments, but they dont answer the question!
I agree that if it works well, (both units delivering a stereo sound) don’t mess with it, but the scientist in me always wants to know the answer as to why…
using the stereo to mono splitter with two cheap mono speakers delivers a different sound, which is nowhere near as good as the soundcore units, but is right, so I’m leaning towards my first hypothesis, which is that the soundcore is trying to process a mono signal into a stereo one!

So you should ask the soundcore engineers!
May be they can lift that secret.

I was always happy when I got a problem solved by fiddling around.

You put some data into the black box, pray and there is a result, no error. :smiley:
The next time you put the identical data in the same black box and there is another result. :smile:
The third time -> error! :rofl:

Engineering in 21 century! :rofl:

no answer as yet from @AnkerOfficial, maybe even the sound engineers cant answer the question!!!

Be patient.
There are many other things they have to care about.
