USB-C cable confusion

Hi I need a new usb c charger for my 2018 iPad Pro. I’d like a 6ft cord with power delivery but can’t seem to find one.

Also Assuming I buy a compatible Anker charger with max output, what’s the difference in charging speed between these two cables?

This without PD
Anker Powerline II USB-C to C 2.0 Cable (6ft) Probably The World’s Most Durable Cable, USB-IF Certified for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 S8 S8+ S9, Nexus 6P, Huawei Matebook, MacBook, iPad Pro 2018 and More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071WNXY1R/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_p4ofCb643FHQ5

And this with PD

Anker Powerline II USB-C to USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 Cable (3ft) with Power Delivery, for Samsung Galaxy Note 8, S8, S8+, S9, Google Pixel, Nexus 6P, Huawei Matebook, MacBook and More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072JYDQ7N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_L3ofCb0DWYF1Y

Is it safe to use a non power delivery cord? Does Anker produce a 6ft cord with PD?

The quick simple answer is that both cables are PD (i.e. safe for your usage), while one can run much faster speeds. The power handling for charging is goong to be the same since both cables are similar with their build for the lines. Length becokes a factor when you start talking about data transfer. In the files below (cant find the correct one fast mind you), there is a cable length chart recommendation for usb 3.1 high speed compatibility.

Anyway, chart pretty much spells out the guage for reaching lightning speed at a specific length, the 2 most important for this question is 26 guage being 1.3 meters and 24 guage being 2.0 meters. This means you need a smaller guage for longer speeds, which will probably be along eventually just not right now.
