Sometimes you can only go by what’s happening at a particular time.

If i needed a product right now, perhaps and emergency purchase or replacement that i couldn’t plan for. I would buy whats available at that time.
I wouldn’t not something because of differences in pricing in the past - that would be more a planned purchase.
I would look at it as if need this now, what price am I prepared to pay and buy what i feel is a suitable product at a suitable price at that time.
