Nice saving, though I’ve never been a fan of these adapter designs
They do seem odd.
But then i haven’t used s MacBook before to fully know how beneficial they are.
These have high potential to damage the Macbook, USB-C hub with a cable is always a better option in my opinion… But then there is always a market for people looking for these hubs!
Never had any damage using these designs but constant dislodges when unplugging peripherals…
Nice discount !
Agreed, it’s a mechanical inherently awful idea.
I know Anker is copying similar earlier designs but shame on the engineer who first thought of this.
You want one wire which pulls out easier than the port can bend. This design there is only luck, not engineering, which protects the ports. As Neil says as there’s not a wire to grip you also can suffer unintended disconnects.
Perhaps a die set is required to thread two small holes in the Macbook to attach this sort of thing - like a VGA lead screws into a monitor/computer.
Then it’s more broken when it snapped off. Also, the back of a tower with VGA is a fit’n’forget type of use, this is a pick-up-oh-bugger-I wish-I’d thought-of-that type of use.
I don’t blame Anker, and not the consumer, it’s Apple making products a bad fit to users they need to buy dongles which is just adding a source of failure. Either have all the ports people need, or don’t need dongle.
Great find!!!
…and I haven’t even posted today …until now
No offence, but I have both Ndalby and Duane on Blocked users list for a long time now and I do get to see their messages (not the ghost ones)
@Shenoy @professor Probably the only forum where I’ve made someone(s) blocked list…
Result! One off the bucket list…
So they are in your muted list but you still see their posts @Shenoy @professor?
That seems a bit odd
So ive just had notifications of your last two posts.
Haven’t had any in days and get loads at once @ndalby
Funny old bug though isnt it?
@paulstevenewing I don’t get direct notifications for messages from Ndalby, but I get to see the messages when he posts something as Unread / Latest section
