UK 20% Off PowerCore III Fusion Amazon Voucher Deal

Heres one for those that likes to travel with as few items as possible.
A charger and 5000mah PowerCore wrapped up in one product.
20% brings this item down to £27.99.

Just a shame this doesn’t come with different plugs to make it a proper travel charger/PowerCore.

… and you put your finger on the obvious modification to bundle with the product. They know exactly how to make a slide-on international version, they did for this, but they sell this just with the UK slide-on when really it should be sold with the Europe and US slide-on.

Yup, the mind boggles.
It’s literally there staring, no, smacking us in the face.
I’d be interested to know if this has the same plug fitting at the PowerPort 4 Lite.

Without hands-on obviously cannot be sure but I’m 99% confident its the identical to the other recent international products.

You see the Fusion slide-off plug

Looks identical to the top-left US slide-in below.

Doesn’t remotely look like the upper-right of this:

I would also like to see how it looks with the plug removed. Whether your just left with a hole or whether there’s a cap that finishes it off.

Looks like the UK version doesnt.

Looks like the US plug sits flush which is acceptable.

Within the caveat a hands-on would be best to prove it, it appears to be both the US and UK versions are identical apart from US version ships with a slide-on folding pin and UK version ships with a UK non-folding slide-on.

The US slide-on is folding pin and looks identical, so I’m guessing it actually slides off.

So I’m predicting yes you’d have a recess on both models but the US you’d have no reason to slide it off as the folding pins is good enough.

This

looks identical to this

Reminds me of the DC cable, most of the smarts is in the cable and they sold different SKUs with different pin ends, and yet the pins probably cost $0.05 each so might as well sell one SKU with all pins. This similarly, sell one Fusion with all the adapters, adds $.

There is the Fusion PD which is larger for intended for Apple, looks bigger, and the front different, but it has wings.

Maybe we need a UK only testing event @professor
Sure @AnkerOfficial can facilitate this exclusive but thorough testing event?

They usually launch a test just before shipping to Amazon warehouse so reviews out around time its able to be bought, to drive sales.

So the next sensible progression would be to make the form factor that of a traditional PowerCore, obviously just a little bigger.
To end up with something like this with a 10000mah battery.

I like the creativity.

I’d prefer if Anker consulted with us offline on options they deemed viable, we give feedback, then we test the alpha versions, feedback, then released.

The issue in USA with Fusion is if you make it protrude wide off wall, it tends to fall out in worn sockets, so having it the way you suggest above is best for USA. But some sockets are so recessed you are forced into more of a stick coming off wall.

I’m not sure I’d buy a Fusion outside of USA, it’s a particularly good feature of USA folding pins.

I would be more than happy to give some time to discussing products outside of the forum.
It would be nice to be involved in the release of a brand new product.

The photos look great.
Just a short walk for us down to our local.
Very quiet, just the way i like it.
