Great deal Paul!
Thanks Franz. Hope you’re having a great weekend my friend.
Ja Paul.
Will start some garden work now.
Good weather here ca 19C.
Are you ready for the shore?
Sound like you have great weather for garden work, 19 degrees is good
Heres its a little cooler with rain on and off.
But do always remember @professor 's hint.
A good and warm coat will help you to survive in UK!
Yes indeed @professor and i have many conversations regarding winter clothing.
I have good range of winter clothing. There’s not much the weather can throw at me that I’m not prepared for.
I don’t like to buy lots, i prefer to have a few good items that can mix and match.
Although next summer ill be looking at some new gloves
What I do Paul (I got the Raynaud syndrome on both hands)
I got a pair of handwarmers which can be charged by USB.
Great, as these are lasting for about 3 hrs each,
So some hours at the fleamarket is OK now.
In the past I was suffering from frostbites often.,
Now all is fine!
But were we going to with that talks?
Family stuff! …ehehe!
Average age of my clothes is 9 years. Most people most of the time just need layers to add and remove as their output changes. Even in winter you don’t need much when moving, but need a lot when stationary.
The most expensive item is to handle single step moving between extremes of warm to cold to warm, that’s a single layer of thick insulation aka coat.
The mistake I make once every start of winter is forgetting any exposed skin hate cold, so gloves, scarf, ears, head. Learn to love balaclava
My old boss suffered from Reynauds in his hands and toes.
Used to wear gloves from Autumn to Spring.
Great idea using the handwarmers and even better being rechargeable @Chiquinho
Not sure that balaclava would suit me @professor
I’ve got a few good beanies and scarves (good enough for our weather)
The gloves I’ve got currently are North Face Windstopper. Really great when active but not so good when less active. The benefit for me is they are quite thin so dexterity is good. I’m thinking of keeping those but getting somthing thicker - ski glove style for when I’m less active.
Not active then pockets?
All gloves I was using were not satisfying.
Will not help to keep my hands warm enough
.
Those little USB warmers are really a bless for my poor hands.
Same said my “medico” Stephan:
“All other treatments will not help at all.”
My hands fit in the pocket OK with the Windstoppers on so thats fine when stationary @professor
I do like to keep my hands available when out and about - I’m the one that always slips on ice.
And also like to have my hands ready generally to react to anything that my occur.
Nice deal Paul!!!
Thanks for sharing this with us. I will check it out!!
