Trying to revive Samsung Note 2 with new Anker Battery

I need to revive my Samsung Galaxy Note 2. It was fully functional when I put it away. The old battery would not charge so I bought a new Anker battery for it. It seems the new battery is not charging. Is there a way to force the Note 2 to power up? Any troubleshooting hints anyone can offer?

Thank you,

Ed S.

It may just be a defective phone?

I had to lay my Note 2 to rest.

From my research the Note 2 had a lot of issues with corrosion coming through the charging port and frying the phone.

If you live in a humid area, leave it in the bathroom while you shower any issues like this can corrode the phone.

You can press the power button and volume down button at the same time.

OR you can charge your battery on an external charger: Anker used to have one, but can’t find it on Amazon.

Here’s another option: https://www.amazon.com/Onite®-Samsung-Galaxy-Battery-Charger/dp/B008EICTBI/ref=pd_bxgy_107_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=TCY56BV8JCFPE48XX73F

The phone should still show signs of life if you have a charger plugged in. Bad battery or not.
