After switching phones from a galaxy s7 to a google 4a 5g, my headphones stopped playing any media sounds. it still picks up on calls, but the media is no more.
I’ve already tried forgetting them on the phone and resetting the headphones using the power button and the volume up button while plugged in. then I paired them again, but no dice.
Any help would be appreciated.
Is media enabled?
Settings, Bluetooth, the connection. Media should be enabled, for some reason you may have not defaulted to enabled.
Yes, media is on, and furthermore, it works fine while plugged in with the jack.
Go back to basics. Two things not getting along, blame each side equally.
Turn everything off then on.
Phone off/on.
Android, clear the cache. Either reboot to recovery and wipe cache (not accidentaly wiping data, that would be bad) or settings, apps, tick include system apps, then bluetooth, clear cache. Then reboot.
Do all the obvious stuff first.
Have you tried toggling the media switch under BT for the headphones. Alternatively try a full restart of your phone.
