Found someone had egged our house, spent an hour looking through 2 cameras of events over 4 days and found nothing
Had a look on my doorbell & found it quite quickly, nothing recorded for that time on Eufy

What’s wrong with some kids? Why would you damage someone else’s property like this? All I can say is that I never did anything like this when I was a kid… nothing even close.

Doesn’t help how high the egg smashed
Window was open at the time so egg has got into the hinge (windows are 2 weeks old) & in the room as well, I don’t have a ladder high enough to reach it either
Well @Haloweenhamster it is unfortunate that someone egged your house. Wonder why eufycam did not pick anything as compared to Nest
Nest is a constant recording
Eufy seems to record cars outside of activity zones but not pedestrians or bicycles inside activity zones
Although I didn’t want to drill holes through the rendered walls, I think it’s now time to look at wired systems or Arlo
Sounds like you might need to tweak your sensitivity settings or adjust your zones. It’s tough to get different cameras to have the same sensitivity without trial and error.
Sensitivity is at 85-90, any higher & I get activations when there’s nothing there, I already have bugs & rain set off the cams & lots of videos of nothing
I feel that the cameras will only pick up people if the camera is at head hight where it can be interfered with or robbed
And activity zones just don’t work so I don’t think it’ll make any difference if I tweaked them
Even the sun sets off the camera
Sad to hear @Haloweenhamster, That is one reason of eufy not picking up some events, I am also considering to have a doorbell video cam. On the fence right now between nest and eufy.
Nest I think cost me ÂŁ40 for the year subscription but it records constantly, also means large uploads
Eufy I has internal storage but I think it’s motion activated record also doesn’t use existing chime

I was looking at Eufy cameras as an option to catch people on my property when we aren’t home or after we’ve gone to bed. We use game cameras and cheap indoor WiFi cameras pointed out windows. Both do a decent job at recording but wanted Eufy camera to setup to 24/7 recording to areas of the property that do not have access to power or they the spots are in outdoor areas that would damage our camera.
