I have installed a Generac 6852 30amp transfer switch to power critical loads in my house as i use my Ford F150 Hybrid with a generator function to provide backup power in a grid-down situation. The 6852 switches the neutral as is necessary as the F150’s generator function is bonded neutral design. I noted that a double push of the F3800’s 240 power button makes it TOO act as bonded neutral and therefore does that mean i can use it with this transfer switch with that enabled in place of the connection from the generator?

Hi
I recently updated to the latest firmware (2.1.5) and now the system with expansion batteries doesn’t balance discharge as it did before the update. One expansion battery is drawn down approximately 11-12% before the other battery and f3800 begin discharge. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a fix in the works?
So i am looking to have home battery backup i have solar panels that go in to a combiner box which then runs to the MAIN LOAD center. I was looking to plug the AC input into the unit (f3800) to charge it and then use the AC output to the loads. So was wondering will this unit charge from the AC input and Discharge from the AC output simultaneously. The idea is if i turn my main breaker off from the grid will the F3800 make a complete circuit charging in the daytime and supplying power at the same time?
if you use the super off peak it will recharge the batteries give it a try
Hi there, are they taking new questions and/or answering the old ones, like yours?
Any luck using the Generac 6852 transfer switch? I just got my F3800 and looking to get the Generac 6853 manual transfer switch as my main panel uses CAFCI circuit breakers which requires the neutral to be switch as well. The Reliance panel offer by Anker will cause the main panel breakers to trip since it does not switch the neutral. The Generac 6853 is suppose to work with my main house panel according to Generac.
Where can I get a list of all of the firmware updates and their respective improvements?
Which manual transfer panel works with Arc fault Circuit Breakers like the 15/20 amp Square D QO120CAFIC which are in my house panel? The Reliance Manual Transfer panel sold by Anker does not work well with these type newer circuit breakers due to the neutral not switching.
Hi Gang, I have a Solix 3800 and would like to charge it with my Erayak 4500PD Inverter generator. How can this be done? Specs on the generator are Output: 230V @ 15.2A and 120V @ 29.2A. Is it possible to use a UPS between the generator and my Solix 3800 in order to control the Amps or is there a preferred method to control my generators output? Rather new to this any help would be appreciated. I am presently in a situation where I have limited abilities as far as solar is concerned but that should change in about 3 years.
Thanks G
I appreciate the replies for this topic. I would really like a way to use 1 external battery or 1 external charger that I could charge the f3800. I would like to use my inverter generator to charge the f3800 while using the 240V ports. I suppose I could get 2 of the eg4 chargerverter but feel that is overkill. I saw some cheaper power supplies out there but not sure I want to use those.
Best SOC for F3800. I have a 2x F3800 setup and was wondering if there is an ideal SOC for the F3800 when its not being used. Please let me know ?
I want to know if I buy the f3800 plus can I hook it to my f3800 with the 50 amp double hub plug?
Just received my F3800 with one expansion battery & two PS200 solar panels (it was a packaged kit from Costco). Have hooked up both panels in parallel using all provided cables & combiner adapters and then in plugging in that array into the left side DC solar input, all works as it should, charges and displays all functions appropriately. Showing an incoming charge at almost 360-380 watts in full sun. I Unplug this same array from the left side DC input jack and then plug it into the right side solar DC input jack and I get nothing? I do hear a “slight click” sound when plugging the array into the right side, this sound is just like left side makes, but nothing then comes up on screen indicating it’s charging.
Clearly the array is functioning well on the left side input so I’m thinking the right side DC input may have an issue? I have contacted Anker customer service with same inquiry and am awaiting their reply but thought I’d post here as well to see if anyone else has experienced this or if anyone might have any suggestions?
Thanks.
As an update to anyone else having same issue - performed reset, firmware was up to date. Right DC input will still not take or register any plugged in input. Resolution: Anker is replacing entire unit as defective under warranty.
