Early this morning while I was sound asleep, my eufy base station alarm started blaring at 3:45 a.m. If you’ve ever been awakened suddenly by a loud noise, you know it’s not very pleasant.
I immediately reached for my cell phone, which was on my nightstand, and saw that motion was detected in my family room. But I watched the video, and there was nobody there and the window had not been breached. Needless to say, while I was relieved my house had not been broken into, I was cursing my eufy camera for giving me a false alarm.
It wasn’t until this afternoon when I took a look at the video again, and I could clearly see the thread of a spider web in the video (see photo). So a damn spider probably set off the alarm. This is the second time in about two months this has happened, although I didn’t see a web in the first incident.
Meanwhile, later on in the morning my newspaper carrier delivered my newspaper, and his walk to my front door wasn’t recorded like it is every week. I’m wondering if the fact that my alarm went off canceled recording elsewhere or reset things?
