I used to go to the Southcenter mall and buy my products, it seems that the store has either closed down or moved, does anyone know anything about what happened to this store?
Store front
I don’t know man. You can ask the mall office about that (google their info for phone number etc.)
That’s unfortunate, probably not profitable anymore.
I don’t where this mall is at but i found this from there website https://www.westfielddev.com/southcenter/stores/all-stores/anker/60907
Where is this Southcenter mall?
Probably Seattle
A lot of malls have been shutting down recently due to Mr. Internet making it easy for people to purchase stuff online nowadays. I have been seeing this more in metropolitan areas; it seems to be more profitable now to build housing on land than retail space. I went into a mall down here in Los Angeles a few weeks ago that was a total ghost town - only about 10% of the stores were still open - the mall itself was scheduled to close in February of next year to demolish it and build a huge high rise apartment complex…
When I heard about a Anker kiosk at a mall, I had a feeling it wouldn’t last long… Most people don’t go to a mall to purchase the items that Anker makes, I personally only go to a mall for clothes or shoes. I go to Best Buy, Walmart, or Fry’s for my electronic needs. Plus Anker can’t really compete with the budget electronic kiosks that get really cheap generic items in bulk from China for fractions of the cost.
I would not be surprised if Anker took their retail stores or kiosks into airports, where they would have a bigger market of people that “need” the products they sell.
They should because most of the things they sell there are crap quality. It’s like getting cables from a truck stop. You’ll be lucky if it still works after you drive off.
